You guys see the RealGM headline that James Southerland is drawing NBA interest amid DLeague Play? I sure wish every team could have its own DLeague team as a minor league affiliation to develop and store players. Teams like HOU and OKC have gamed that system well and benefited greatly when Terrance Jones and Jeremy Lamb looked so ready when their time finally arrived. Yeah, someday I hope we're developing guys like Cody Z and storing guys like Southerland down at the Raleigh Mini-Hives D-League affiliate.

its a shame there is so much stigma about getting sent to the D league.

it would be a good place for Zeller to play good minutes and get confidence.

Would it be any different than summer league for him?

he would get time to calm down and grow.

his head would have been spinning during the summer league.

Bobcats used to have a D-League affiliate, right?

Rex still looks overwhelmed in the NBA. I hope he settles down a bit after the all-star break.

Chicago's ball movement is great. Selfless team that I think will still make the playoffs.

We are affiliated with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, but so are five other teams. (DET, MEM, ORL, MIL, IND).
Meanwhile, teams like the Lakers and GS own their own DLeague team. So, they "stash" players and have their extended team staff work with them.

The competition may be similar to the Summer League, but the DLeague season is much longer with a tougher schedule and travel. Guys like Lamb and TJones were able to gain a tremendous amount of confidence spending extended time as top dogs there.

The Charlotte Bobcats are shopping Ben Gordon, according to league sources. They have talked to many teams about the veteran guard and are trying to move Gordon's $13,200,000 ending contract for a player who helps them win now. Charlotte has played well this season and currently sits in the East's seventh seed. They're expected to be buyers at the deadline, because they want to make the playoffs for just the second time in franchise history.

Already had one in Asheville, and the attendance was really, really bad.

urgh that scares me, what crappy contract are we gonna get.

this stinks a bit like the larry brown years, who will be the next Tyrus Thomas?

this doesn't really sound like Cho moves from how he first described his plan.
Its the original Bobcat mould, go all out for that 1st round thrashing. I was embarrassed about getting sweeped the first time and that Bobcat team would beat this team.

Just one last example of the D League thing I was talking about. See, the Warriors aren't resigning Seth Curry, instead they're resigining him to their self-owned DLeague team:

Seth Curry will rejoin the Santa Cruz Warriors of the D-League.

Curry was asked by the Memphis Grizzlies to wait in town for three days after waiving him, but ultimately declined to sign him to a 10-day contract.

The Santa Cruz Warriors were reportedly anxious for Curry to return to the team to play in the D-League Showcase opener for NBA executives.

total meltdown by the wolves at the end. amazing stat they keep repeating - wolves are 0-10 in games decided by 4pts or less. my god, that team needs a closer something awful.
