I'm just hoping he blows up in the tourney because I really want to be sold on wiggins. I'm just very worried about him now. Some kids were hyped almost as heavily as he was in high school and look at them after playing a year of college ie mayo and Muhammad

I'm not saying Wiggins is a guaranteed franchise changer, but he's been better then a few here are advertising.

Pretty amazing a guy who can't shoot, pass or dribble is scoring a super efficient 16 points a game.

Where does Rodney Hood fit into this discussion?

He's arguably looking better than Wiggins and sometimes Parker right now.

Those players had athletic limitations and were more touted for their skills so they're pretty bad comparisons.

10-16 range for me. He is good in college but he is 21 already. For reference, he is 3 months younger than say Tobes but Tobes will have 3 years of nba experience before hood enters the league. I do like him though. Wolters, Giannis, Hood, Henson, Embiid would be fun to watch next year. My guess is you would have to trade Henson or Sanders to get him though. Btw, for now I am switching my pick to Embiid. So I started with Wiggins, switched to Parker, but now have to switch to Embiid. Right now he is the best available hands down. I am hopeful wiggins, Parker, and Exum can challenge though in due time.

He's played himself comfortably into the top 10. His stock is rising. Once again, it's the "potential" word that will keep Parker and Wiggins ahead of him. Production wise, you can't argue either has had more impact on their teams than Hood has this season.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Hood looks like a khris Middleton type in the nba. Decent athlete who can defend and shoot. Quality guy to have but not a star.

Production is nothing but a data point. It has value, but you don't base projections solely on past production at a lower level of competition, obviously.

Potential is exceptionally important. It is also impacted by how a player performs when facing the superior competition in the NCAA compared to HS. Opinions on the NBA potential of players often changes dramatically once they start playing college ball, and for good reason.

And there's a reason why people who don't even necessarily like Wiggins like him a hell of a lot more then you, you've been out for him since day 1.

But yeah, Mo Harkless and Marvin Williams and all.

Now that Wiggins shooting numbers keep declining, the Moe Harkless comparison is becoming more and more relevant whether you'd like to admit it or not. Wiggins is the better athlete, but their skill sets are pretty damn close. Their playing styles in college are remarkably similar.

Wiggins is the best 2 way player in the draft. Paul George wasn't a monster offensively his freshman season either and I think George is a better comparison than harkless. Harkless was limited.

Wiggins still has plenty of variety in his offense and only lacks aggression at this point.

As I asked earlier. What variety?

There's nothing he can't do offensively and I particularly like how he gets to the rim. More importantly he's a superior defender to Parker. Other than being a little passive, there is nothing to not like and I happen to like his unselfish play.

To me, the passivity is among the least worrisome parts of his game. In fact, it could be an asset if you built the right team. But, I still think that at this point, Wiggins is the riskiest of the "big 3" prospects.

Embiid have it all.

Wiggins & Giannis would be amazing wings and wonderful compliments due to the unselfishness of both players.

I'm not passing on him for Embiid either or anybody for that matter. Certainly not Parker who is overrated here.

Your point about Wiggins and Giannis is definitely appealing to me. I think it could work very very nicely, and I think you'd see a bunch of Giannis sending it for Wiggins to go get it.

BUT, still, Embiid over him, for sure. 8-)

And, I'll just bring it up again:

How the hell does Jabari Parker have 113 votes...PARTICULARLY, after his two recent extremely unimpressive games?

Seriously. Is this poll rigged?

You almost have to do a new clean poll. Lots of non Bucks board folks likely voted on here two months ago and never came back.

Well, you're the newly promoted Senior Vice President of New Polls Sales Division, are you not?!?!

I kid. I kid. PP. I just want our Embiid love to find it's rightful shine.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
