Why for Portland - they add an elite defensive center for a postseason run without hurting their rotation

Why for NY - they get 2 assets - McCollum and a future pick - for Chandler, plus they get a replacement. Leonard may or may not have value and could be replaced with another expiring. Keeps NY competitive this year and improves their ability to make trades in the offseason.

Not necessarily for that but the Blazers, who were reportedly interested in a C and interested in Chandler before the season, to be even more interested now that they are one of the top teams in the NBA. Problem is that Robin Lopez is having a real strong season so far so the chances of too many other things coming along with Lopez is less likely.

maybe 3 way trade to acquire asik is more doable.

asik would accept playing 20-25 min regularly. also bynum has health issues so we can guarantee asik somehow big role in team.
his contract finish in 2015. he's elite defender and offensively not too much worser than chandler.

Gary Neal & Carlos Delfino for JR Smith

I can see the Bucks doing this.
My lifetime better have a Knicks championship.

Bucks would need to cut salary somehow if they were to take JR.

JR + Artest for Pachulia + Neal

Felton, Stoudemire, THJ & future 1st for Rondo, G Wallace, B Bass.
Would the Celtics do it? I mean this would allow them to shed Wallace salary a year earlier and Felton's contract isn't horrible.

Of course we'd be paying a steep price for the services of Rondo (THJ + future pick). But I would like our lineup;
Rondo, Shump, Chandler, Bass, Melo and a bench of Prigs, Wallace, Bargs, Kmart & JR (uuugghhh)
And still have Murry, Tyler, Udrih, MWP, Cole

Its close, judging by what chi got for deng, boston would be looking for a bit more cap relief and or another asset.

This trade proposal really intrigues me. I've seen other ppl post this and other variations of this trade before. Thing is, every time i see it, it doesn't look like a finished a product. It looks more like the first step to a bigger trade. I don't know if Tyson Chandler is that big a piece for OKC that they'd be willing to part with 2 excellent, young players in thabo and reggie but i'd def do it if they were willing and I knew I could send those 2 players elsewhere for a 2015 FA like rondo, or aldridge. Interesting tho...

Another interesting trade that i've seen floated many times on this board. Personally, i'd rather throw JR in there and keep THjr but not sure boston would go for it. Also not sure that boston and NY would make the best possible trade in a straight up scenario. Really feel like a 3rd and maybe even a 4th team needs to be involved.

I can't see Houston helping another contender improve in the West. I think the trade is fair - the #10 pick in the past 2 drafts - although Leonard has been a bust and McCollum injured plus a member of one of the weakest draft classes ever. A future 1st and a serviceable role player. Considering Chandler's age, contract and injury history this would be a solid deal.

And from Portland's perspective - we all know what Tyson Chandler can do on the court, he's a difference maker that will fit right in with Portland.

Come to think of it, forget the 1st rounder and let's give them Ahmad Nivins instead.

I think that trade is good.
If we could manage to getjeff green that would put us serios contender but its not likely.
People say to wait until 2015 summer. Thay say we can get rondo or k-love.
So getting rondo now is better choice.

Celtics can tank with Stats. And he can sell tickets too. Next year his expiring would have value to.

If celtics go a trade likethis it would.beneficial.both ways.
