Last year, in New York, as a power forward, was Melo's best year.

I think melo's best year was when they got bill ups in Denver. Other then that he's been tagged teamed with JR smith and and aging Iverson, never really had a number 2 that would accept a role

It will be interesting to see if LaVine comes out. Unless he gets more time/touches, going to be a major projection, but so is Exum.

Not huge into college so don't shoot me in the head for simple comparisons... I see Parker being a Melo type, would hate that pick unless we end up with the third pick. See embiid as a Dwight Howard type player, would be completely content with the pick, but we still need scoring and a two gaurd and would hope we so a deal to get one in the draft or young somehow. Wiggins with the potential to be a Kobe type player, and I think would be the smartest move unless there is a 2 with scoring ability in the draft that we could get somewhere in the late lottery... My 2 cents, I just don't really understand all the Parker love, if he is a Melo type baller, he will bring us nothing but dissapointment.
Bucks fan since day one. Go Bucks!

You're making the major mistake of first comparing these people to NBA players and then comparing those NBA players to determine your analysis. You have to judge these prospects for who they are, on the court. Throw away the comparisons.

Coach K made Austin Rivers into a lead player his freshman year as well. Now I'm not saying Rivers is in the same stratosphere as Parker. But I just see a solid player in him, a Big Dog type

The way you talk you'd think Carmelo Anthony was Josh Smith.

What is the point of even mentioning Austin Rivers in the same sentence as Parker?

Stun.

Over Randle sure, that dude belongs in the last century. Aussies are talking about Exum because most of you guys know very little about him and we have watched him a bit.

You're right, Carmelo is a marginal player and career loser. He should be used as a spark off the bench at best.

This is fun!

Melo got wildly overrated on that very good Nuggets team but he did have a very nice season last year.

saw this was eluded too by a few posters but not actually posted

http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/story/_/ ... -no-1-pick

Milwaukee Bucks
Odds of winning the lottery: 25 percent
Likely selection with No. 1 pick: Jabari Parker

The Bucks' biggest need is a power forward who can draw a double-team, so Randle will get a long look from them. But the Bucks are also super intrigued with Parker and feel he can play both the 3 and the 4 for them. Wiggins and Exum are also possibilities, but both are riskier picks for a team that needs to show major improvement next year. Parker is the most NBA-ready player in the draft, and I think he's the favorite if Milwaukee gets the No. 1 pick.

If Melo had a brain...He would probably be in the same tier as Durant.

I think Parker is going to be a smarter version of Melo without the thug mentality. Love this guy even more after watching several interviews with him. He and Giannis together is going to be make this season worth every minute of watching Caron Butler and Extra Heavy.

Remember that Big Dog was the 1st pick in a draft that included some people who will be in the HOF. He was more than a solid player when he came into the NBA.
