Gary Harris
I have him pegged as a late lottery selection, he has the skill and shooting ability to be an all-star SG and is very young for his class. I'm not sure who he emulates as an SG, I think he is similar to a player like Mitch Richmond.

He'll rise, there will be guys that won't declare and this guy has a great shot, defense and his body is just perfect for the SG, 6-5 and 215, for me, right no, this guy is 7-8th in my board, and could crack the top5.

He'll go in the 4-8 range IMO.

Re: Gary Harris
Tough call. A lot of people loved him, but I wasn't particularly impressed with him last year.
They said his shoulder was messed up, and he had it worked on after the Spartans were eliminated. If he comes out next year and just scores in mass, he may jump up to the lottery. The opportunity will certainly be there for him to grab.

Love his game. Bradley Beal 2.0. As a Spartans fan I can say he's the best freshman I've seen in the B1G since Oden. Well rounded game, has the body, is a smart kid. He's going to be a good one. He could have easily gone top 20 this year, but there was actually a surprising amount of depth at the SG spot which may have hurt him had he declared. He may actually benefit from going back to school even though he'll be entering a stronger draft.

He would have easily gone top 10 this year, he's only 18 and has a silky smooth shot plus good athleticism. No way he would have gone behind McCollum or KCP. He doesn't turn 19 till September 14th.

Re: Gary Harris
While I agree he could have easily been a lottery pick I still think he's smart for going back. He's going to play off ball a lot in the NBA, and he's got a chance to develop his handles and play making ability with more frequency in college. Especially since Keith Appling is a REALLY bad PG who forces the issue way too often, and settles for low percentage looks with consistency. I'm sure Izzo is going to give Harris more of a chance to run the offense this year and develop some of the skills he wouldn't have developed had he declared for the draft.

Appling has never been a pg, I really hope Izzo has a different player lines up to fill that void this season.

Gary Harris is solid to me, but I wouldn't take him in the top 10.... There's just something about his play that I don't like....

Re: Gary Harris
Harris has really been finding his 3 point shot the last 5 games. He has a complete offensive game and is a great defender. I would take in the 7-9 range.

I think he's good, but people are generally overrating him. Good size but below average length. I see him as a very good bet to be a solid NBA starter - but not an all-star - and strictly a 2. I have him at 12-14.

Re: Gary Harris
He is another highly effective and efficient college player with limited upside. I don't think he is a NBA starter because he does not do enough well, but he could be on a team with a couple of all-stars. The next problem is is he really explosive enough to be a 6th man? Is he knockdown enough to be a shooting specialist? Hard to peg this guy it depends on team. He could be a starter on a team with superstars or multiple all-stars or he could be just another guard off the bench that finds it hard to really ever make his mark in the league.

I'm really not a fan of him. Very overrated and he's too inconsistent to do anything at the NBA level. I see him at the end of the bench or on a D-league team. He's a shooting guard that can't shoot. Wouldn't be shocked if a team is convinced he could play point like Oladipo. He might actually pick up point better than Oladipo has.

I think Appling will be a better pro than Harris

Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

34% from three on over 7 attempts, 88% from the line. Shot over 40% from three last year....

Re: Gary Harris
He can definitely shoot lol, kid has a really nice stroke.
Reminds me of a little better shooting version of a Kawhi Leonard (2 guard version). He plays tough defense and just seems to play the right way.

Re: Gary Harris
In his last two games vs Illinois and Indiana Harris is 15-22 from the field, 6-10 from 3, 11-14 from the line, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 7 steals, and 47 points. He's really hitting his stride at the right time, he will be a future all-star IMO. He's the best two way guard in the country and has a complete offensive game + he's only 20 years old. The only thing he has to improve is his dribbling, but that is the easiest thing to improve in the NBA, just look at Oladipo.

Re: Gary Harris
Harris had the best game of his college career last night vs Michigan, he outplayed Stauskas and stepped up big time. Gary shot 9-16 from the field (56%) for 27 points, 4-6 from three (66%), 5-9 from the line (55%), 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and 1 TO. Harris is going to be a perennial all-star in his prime. He really doesn't have a weakness in his game. He was the focus of UM's defense and showed he could create his own shot.

Actually this is usually the hardest, at least to make a significant jump.

They're replaying this game later tonight on Big Ten Network. I'm really interested to watch this, as I'm really off my game for college ball and two of the prospects I'm most interested in revisiting from last year, Gary Harris and Glenn Robinson were facing off in this game, so to speak.
