Wall's play over the last 5-6 games has been really disappointing. No idea whats going on with him

the reason why we are down 8 are for 2 reasons that have repeated themselves alot this season. Terrible FT shooting in key games and the backcourt taking horrible jumpers on the move with hands in there face. I cant believe Witt never scolds them for this

Focusing on the good - Ariza and Webster were playing terrific D. Nene was balling. If we had made some FTs it would be close.

He's inconsistent and depends on jumpshots too much. Same thing with Beal—that's why they aren't close to being a great backcourt....yet.

he's sucked ever since his eye injury. Same with Arenas, Blatche, and whoever. Anytime any lil thing throws there groove off they go into a long funk. Need more mental toughness and IQ

Everything is a long two with this team. Every play is to set up a contested jumpshot.

The Wizards would be winning this game if the refs were not making obvious hometown calls.

after Wall made that J, I said to watch him shoot the J next trip for his heat check. Always does and hardly ever makes it

Beal's long 2's don't bother me as much as Wall's do; mainly because Beal is a much better shooter, he's only 20, and he's not the athlete that Wall is.

As much as Wall has improved since his rookie year, a lot of the flaws he had in his game coming into the league are still major problems, and i'm not even talking about his broken jumper.

-He struggles to attack/finish in the halfcourt
-He completely loses confidence in his offensive game when he missed a few shots
-He's lazy and undisciplined on defense
-Still makes some really dumb and untimely turnovers (although he has cut them down lately, mainly because he hasn't been aggressive)
Still lacks an in between game

So let's see. We've shot nothing but mid-range jumpers this quarter and have scored, what, 2 points?

If Randy is happy with this, then he needs to be assigned a defensive title and removed of head coaching responsibilities.

Even our center is shooting contested 2 pointers.

Our offense is pathetic.

again though, in there defnense I will say the system sucks and is made to shoot J's. People would be shocked on how much Wall & Beal attacked in a better system. This system is horizontal and not North & South. Its made to move the ball and shoot the J

I think my problem with Beal isn't that he takes a lot of mid-range shots (though that does bother me).

It's that he actively looks to take long, contested 2's over semi-contested 3's or drives to the lane.

Add Hibbert to the list of good Centers in the league who have had their way with Gortat

Return to Washington Wizards
