I think we've got a bit of a pattern of hiring "nice guy, class act, professional" coaches. All well and good, but it doesn't necessarily get you wins in this league. Larry Brown was a headstrong jerk who wanted to do things his way, but it worked. Someone in that mould might be more suitable.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

That is exactly why I think lambier would have been perfect

Yes, would definitely like to see Laimbeer get a go. Obviously the women's game (where he's had a lot of success) is different, but he knows what it takes to win as both a player and coach. Five championships (two NBA, three WNBA) says a lot.
