Tis With A Heavy Heart. The Amazingly Sucky John Wall Thread

Post#1 » by JWizmentality » Sat Jan 11, 2014 2:24 am

I takes it till I just can't takes it no more. John Wall has earned this. He's playing like a turd. 80 mil you are not worth. Best PG in NBA you are not. I want to love you Wall, but it hurts. I want to sing your accolades on the General board but it hurts. WHY YOU NO DRIVE THE HOLE WALL WHY?!?!?

You suck!!! I'm taking my ball and going home. Call me when you start titillating me like last year. I'm going to crawl into the fetal position in my bathroom now.

he just had 20 plus points for 8 straight games and was playing great. He's going to be an All Star. He has some flaws but still is only 23. This doesnt deserve a thread. It couldve went in the other Wall thread until proven otherwise

Meh, he had one bad game. I think its fair to criticize him for tonights game, but I think its ridiculous to say he has sucked lately. He has played well until tonight.

The stats are there but it's just....just......blah. He doesn't impact the game at all! When he came back last year, I couldn't wait to watch every freakin game because this guy was just lightin it up win or lose. Triple doubles were common place! The swag is just gone! He's boring and uninspiring as hell. It's like that super hot girl that just rocks your world every freakin night and when you finally commit, like 80 mil commitment. It's like WTF?!?!? Where did that hot chick go and why am I paying this slut!!!

Be honest with yourselves. When was the last time you said "Damn, Wall is straight beastin out there!" I remember, it was the first quarter of the first Philly game!! He was acting like it was game 7 of the NBA finals, but I didn't care. He had that "don't give a f*ck" vibe going and nobody could stop him. That's gone..and it stinks. Do you honestly go into any game thinking, damn Wall's going to tear someone a new one tonight. No!!! I don't fear him at all!! I want 2013 Wall back....and f*ck Randy for sitting Wall in that Philly game.

again, I totally disagree. He had a slow start but was great since then until our recent stretch. Yes he was impacting the game big time and we were winning games because of him. He had one stretch of 3 straight 30pt games. You dont think he was beasting then? He just had a stretch of 8 straight. Before this bad stretch he was averarging 20.4ppg, 9ast, and over 4bds with 2 steals and had got his shooting percentage to 43.2 after starting the season in the low 30's so yes he was playing big time ball for a great stretch. It wasnt just last year.

Now with that being said. Ive been saying forever that this system sucks for Wall. He cant consisently get to the rim in it. Its made for jump shots. This is not just Wall settling. The system sucks, especially against great defenses. Thats what all the Minny & Pistons fans said about Flip & Witt. Billups, Cassell, etc are all jump shooters. The bigs set the picks different in this system. Its made for a non athletic PG who can make jumpers. Wall needs to be in an attacking P&R system. He would easily be one of the best in the league when we make that switch

I agree with that feeling, maybe Wall is just going through a mid-season lapse and he'll go back to lighting it up in the late season and playoffs. A part of me thinks that he is afraid to get hurt and doesn't want to throw himself at the rim and attack. After seeing all the injuries to these point guards, he's probably decided to play slightly more reserved. I can only hope that is it. I really hope the old John Wall returns soon.

in December Wall was on the list for player of the month after averaging 22 & 9 on 45% shooting. He did that for a whole month. The game before that month he had 26pts 12ast 6bds & 5stls on 50% shooting and the game after that month he had 22pts 7bds & 5ast on 45% shooting. 3 games before that December stretch he won player of the week after having 3 straight 30pt games on over 50% shooting. To be exact he had 37, 6, & 2 while shooting 72% against Toronto, 31, 7, &4 while shooting 56% against NY, and 31, 9, & 6 while shooting 56% against LA.

Over that stretch he had one of the highest per's in the league and until recently he was the 3rd rated PG in the whole league behind Paul & Curry. Fans are so quick to forget. He was playing lights out for a long time
