And trying to bypass the censor is something to be proud of. Not to mention using the word "(Please Use More Appropriate Word)" as an insult is just classy as can be.

Young and rock solid defensively at all positions. Then all we need to do is get a competent coach in here.

Of all the wacky trades submitted this one seems to make the most sense... Just make it Monroe, Jennings, CV for Rondo & Green
I like the idea of replacing defensive liabilities while not losing effeciency..
If you're into all that advance stat stuff they have Rondo rated as the best defensive PG in the L...

Rondo would make us so much better because of his defense. I would package Monroe and Jennings for him in a heartbeat.

That may be so, but Rondo definitely is not worth that asking price.

As for the subject of the thread- Greg Monroe. I don't want to lose a guy as talented as he is. But, he cannot guard power forwards that are good shooters, especially stretch 4's. Additionally, he cannot shoot the ball consistently when he's away from the rim.

Greg Monroe is a scoring and rebounding center that offer no rim protection and inconsistent defensive effort. However, Greg Monroe is not a power forward. Unless Detroit wants to sit him or Drummond on the bench, Monroe should be shopped around the league for a wing player and/or draft picks.

That's my final verdict. It has nothing to do with Greg himself, or how he's currently performing. It's a simply matter of fact. Even if Josh Smith were to be traded, Monroe would still be playing out of position. He's a damn good player, but he's not Drummond.

Do I really need to remind anybody that calling other posters names isn't appropriate? C'mon Pistons board... be better than this.

Id move Monroe to the bench as he is too weak to play pf consistently. I think Smith would be a better pf personally.

trade him for what ever you can get....any asset should do, unless you like him enough to overpay him.
Detroit should have moved him a year ago if they wanted to move him. now all he is is a better than average player on an expiring contract. Only hope is if a contender needs a PF and Detroit is willing to take filler and a late first round pick.

Monroe should not be traded. He's far too talented and too young to move now.

I don't see why people are in such a rush to lose in the playoffs. We're not going to beat Miami or Indiana as constructed now and there isn't a realistic trade we could make that would push us over them...so we should keep building.

Drummond, Monroe, K.C.P, Jennings... potentially we have 4 of a very strong core for the next 5-10 years. What we need to do is add to that core one (or 2) pieces at a time for the next couple of seasons.

Unfortunately I think I would have to do that trade.

If we traded Monroe away it really wouldn't hurt us bc tony Mitchell will give defensive minutes greg could never give and we would have to trade greg for an efficient scorer to compensate for his loss of offensive production.
