We should trade him back to the ABA.

I agree. We should trade him back to 1975 by making deal with the Spirits of St. Louis for Goo Kennedy, Fly Williams and Marvin "Bad News" Barnes's heroin dealer (thus a chance to get Barnes later on as well).

I would honestly trade him to the Flint Tropics for Jackie Moon right now.

Jackie Moon and Vakidis. Moon could start in the place of McBob, while Vakidis could back up Biz.

The Al Jefferson signing was ruinous to the rebuild. Really terrible decision.

Jefferson is what Mullens would be if he didn't shoot 3s and pump faked his way to the basket.

Negative. Jefferson sucks defensively. But that's well known and has been for 10 years. But he's still 46788 times better than Mullens. Rather unfair and terrible comp.

I was overexaggerating or being facetious but they are similar defensively.

I just hate and despise Mullens. Great athlete, can shoot, nice build for a 7 footer, but he acts lazy and is the dumbest player in the league. Jefferson tries, he's just limited since he tore his acl years ago. No excuses either way.

Byron Mullens is the only former Charlotte player i still hate, as soon as most players leave Charlotte i become neutral on them....but he is a special case....i hate him!!!!

In the past week WAS, MIN & CHI realized that Al NO LONGER NEEDS TO BE DOUBLE TEAMED. They defended him one on one with Gortat, Pek & Taj. CHA brought him in to be double teamed to improve spacing. But he sets up too far from the hoop and has no apparent strength to get closer. This is a disaster and a major reason why our offensive struggles have compounded to alarming rates.

Or they can just all keep one foot in the paint and not fully commit, yet bother Al since our shooters aren't that dangerous.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner! Running the offense through Jefferson is indeed ruinous. It doesn't even matter that we don't have any shooters b/c Al posts up in a place where even if he was surrounded by shooters, they wouldn't get any open looks. All the good shooting spots are only a couple of steps away from where Jefferson likes to set up camp so defenses can "to the 2.9" us to death.

I wrote a giant post about this on Bobcats Planet the other day.

Al Jefferson’s season got off to an extremely slow start thanks to an ankle injury, but he’s rounded into form since.

http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/fantas ... --nba.html

Jefferson’s Usage Rate (24.2) on his new team is his highest mark since 2008/09, and his 5.4 Turnover Ratio ranks fifth-best in the entire league (and no one ahead of him touches the ball nearly as much

I don't have no beef with Jefferson for he is limited defensively because he isn't agile or athletic enough to contest shots on a consistent basis, but it's frustrating to watch. I'm annoyed by Clifford's resistance to put a rim protector alongside Jefferson now that opposing teams are relentlessly & intentionally attacking him on the defensive end sighting his limitations

That's only because taking low percentage shots from the high post that lead to fast breaks for the other team aren't considered turnovers. It would also be a lot higher if refs would call a couple of his 5-6 travels every game.

ick Bonnell ‏@rick_bonnell 1m

Al Jefferson says he might need off-season surgery on his right ankle to "clean up" the damage it has suffered this season.

Deliberately hurting his trade value?
