:D

It will undoubtedly be the most defining moment of BG's career.

Do people even remember that this guys 'twin' was 6MOY in Chicago?

If Detroit fires Cheeks and installs a decent interim, they could start making a run. I hope we receive their pick, but it will probably be more in the 13-16 range

Or they could make a weird trade for JR Smith and complete a knucklehead line up of Jennings, Smith, Smith, Monroe and Drummond. You just never know what that crazy ol' Joe Dumars might do.

If Pistons don't pick it up we may not even see the pick. What a train wreck.

They keeping their pick is not end of the world. Hopefully it would more of being genuinely bad/incompetent than just tanking then cause the top 1 protection (!) in 2015 looks great then. An you never now what can happen, they would probably go all out and assemble ill-advised core to compete, but even then injuries, no chemistry etc. can happen and once they are in lottery, there is a shot at it ending 1nd or 3rd overall. and who knows Okafor may have disappointing year or Cavs can pick first and he would fall. And there are other guys as well - I haven't seen them aside from Winslow but surely it is not like 2013 draft.

The value of the pick skyrockets if they keep it this year. It becomes a bigger trade asset THIS year in THIS draft the instant it becomes top-1 protected for 2015.

I think the best we can do is:

Charlotte - 7
Detroit - 9
Portland - 23

It's an uphill battle outside those numbers.

We could get to bottom 5.

Nobody in their right mind thinks that pick will be a top 8 in 2015. Drummond will be a true star by then. That whole team will be too talented to miss the playoffs in 2014-15, particularly with a top 8 pick in this draft.

I think it could be. Drummond does not mean they have an automatic ticket to the playoffs.

The Knicks will have Chandler and probably a new and better coach. The Nets will have Lopez and D. Williams. The Cavs will have Deng and Irving for a full season. The Sixers will have assets from trading Turner and Young plus they will have a top 5 pick plus the Pelicans pic around 10 plus Noel.

The Pistons could add the 7th or 8th pick but then subtract Monroe.

Conveniently left out the fact that Carmelo is probably gone? New York is a train-wreck.

Nets are finished for the foreseeable future. That team is a complete wreck and their main "young" guys have injury concerns.

I don't know how likely it is that Deng resigns in Cleveland.

The Sixers are some time away from competing, and are probably still in the tear-down mode.

You can make winning arguments for any or all of those teams being worse than Detroit.

Just saying, the Nets have won four straight and are currently the 8 seed

The Nets, Knicks, and Cavs will finish better than us. Instead of worrying about Detroits pick we should worry about ours with Chicago.

If we're so bad and the Nets, Knicks and Cavs finish better than us then maybe so does Detroit, meaning we get our pick with Detroit's still being top 10, since Detroit is supposedly worse than the first 3 teams you mentioned as shoe ins to be better than us.

Cleveland and New York will overtake us in the standings.

Cleveland is 13-23 and New York is 14-22.

We're looking really good for a pre lotto #8 slot at least imo.

Detroit is 16-22 and Brooklyn is now 15-22.

Detroit will be overtaken by Cleveland, New York and Brooklyn imo.

Something is seriously wrong behind the scenes in Detroit imo.

Would we not owe the Bulls the pick if we finished at 10?
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

It's top10 protected hence we would keep it.
