Love pissed at his teammates after Suns loss. He should be pissed at himself for shooting 4-20 . And I don't think many understand the value of the Memphis pick. That pick could easily be a top 10 pick for us next season.

I thought it was top-ten protected.

It's top 5 protected and also protected 15-30 (which is in our favor), so we get it if it's between selection 6-14, which seems very likely given the state of the Grizzles. This protection holds true through the 2018 season, after that it becomes unprotected. We are basically guaranteed a lotto pick unless you think the Grizzles make the playoffs every year for the next 5 years.

Grizzles have to make the playoffs or completely bottom out next season for us not to get that pick, I don't see either of those things happening.

It is our most valuable pick at the moment, in my opinion.

Koufus is so overrated on RealGM.

His contract is only $3 million and he is great insurance in case AV goes down. Now that we are all in on this season, we need another big as insurance. I'd rather deal Jack & Clark and a pick for Asik, but I don't think that would get it done.

I agree we need a centre but not in this deal. Like fart said this could be our most valuable pick.

What would guys give for Asik. I think everyone is unanimous in that we would offer Jack & Clark. I imagine that Houston might look for an incentive beyond that.

jack and clark are crap so im sure houston would want more. Asik was pretty great as a starter last year. Not sure what i'd give up but we could do a lot worse than Asik.

Just looking at the standings today. Not sure why we are even talking trades until we get above the 6st spot. We are still a ton away from worth discussing. The next week will tell us a lot.

Just in case, anyone know if Deng can be traded again at the deadline?

I heard someone say he can be traded individually, but cannot be a part of a multiple player package. And I think we still need another trade for a scoring big to be legit.

I think a Gasol trade may be revisited closer to the deadline. The Cavs are looking strong. Add in Gasol into that mix and you've got a tough team.

I am not sure how the salaries would work in a Gasol trade though......I do not think we include AV in a Gasol deal.

Not sure why you wouldn't. It would bring a different dimension to the team. You can make it a three-way deal and get value for Varejao from a third team. The other possibility is Jordan Hill who would add quite a bit to the bench at C.

I still maintain the thought that Varejao is a top 5 starting center in this league. He is far from a throw in.

Yeah I'm not including Varejao in a deal for gasol. Varejao is playing great post Bynum and I'm not that into gasol anyway.
