I'd kiss liver pooty on the mouth wearing a "Biz sucks" shirt if we got the 3rd pick.

Lol I dont think he sucks. He just pisses me off, along with the entire organization at times.

And if we got the third pick I'll do craziest fan dare you guys request and make a YouTube video of it. Not even kidding.

Then after we select James McAdoo 3rd I'll kill myself.

The lotto has never been kind to us, I don't have much optimism we get the third. I would be pretty satisfied with even the 7th pick though.
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

Anywhere in the top 9 would be sweet imo.

Surely this year we may have a bit of lotto luck.

If we got the 7th, 16th, and 25th picks, I'm positive we'd be able to move them up for a top 5 pick. The idea of Kemba/Exum in the backcourt gives me a boner.

Starting to look very possible...but a backcourt of Kemba Walker/Zach Lavine is more intriguing to me. LaVine is one of the best pure shooters with athleticism & ball handling ability that I've seen in collegiate basketball in a while, and Kemba will continue to grow as a player, scorer, and leader

I like a Lavine - Kemba backcourt pairing as well with our pick.

How far can we move up by packaging DET at 9 or 10 and Portland at 25-27?

Is MKG + 9 + 26 enough for Wiggins?

this draft is too deep to give up player assets...we could just move to 5 and take who ever falls to us. its not like parker, wiggins randle, embiid have done anything to lock up the number one spot

I would argue just the opposite - that there's no way in hell any team sitting in the top 5 is going to trade us their top 5 pick, highly likely to yield an allstar talent, for three picks likely to yield role players.

The top 5 is set to be some combo of

Parker
Embiid
Wiggins
Randle
Exum

Exum is a dark horse at this point. If he blows GMs' socks off with combine and workout performances, he could infiltrate the top three. If he disappoints he could be supplanted by Marcus Smart in the top 5.

Either way - there is a huge talent drop off from the top 5-6 picks to the rest of the draft. If we're sitting at #7 or #8 (which is likely since the FO made the impetuous decision to sign Jefferson the year before the strongest draft in a decade to get a few more counterproductive wins), we'll be on the outside looking in.

If I'm a GM holding a top 5 pick that guarantees me one of those guys above, I'm certainly not trading it for some likely combination of Gary Harris, Glen Robinson III and whoever's still on the board at the high 20s Portland pick.

Unless we're able to continue this recent stretch of abysmal play and crack the top 5 on our own, we should all prepare for the prospect of a Gary Harris, Levine or Rodney Hood type addition Vs. a Parker/Embiid/Randle/Exum/Wiggins one.

unless he really starts to suck, Wiggins won't be falling past 4 or 5. I wouldn't trade MKG and another top 10 pick for Wiggins if he were to suck, and if he doesn't suck, a team won't trade him for MKG and the 10th pick.

My top 10:

Embiid
Exum
Parker
Wiggins
Randle
Lavine
Harris
Hood
Robinson
Young

Do not want: Smart - seems like he'll be like Rodney Stuckey

With our other picks, we need to go after McDermott, Young, Napier, anybody that can hit 3s well.

So if Wiggins is on par to be drafted 3rd, then MKG + pick 9 + POR pick would not be considered enough?

As crazy as it sounds, probably not. I don't think anyone is trading a top 3 pick in this draft. On top of that, I wouldn't throw the 9th pick AND Kidd-Gilchrist at the chance that Wiggins alone turns out better than a duo of MKG/Levine or something along those lines. MKG is too important of a piece.

I'm saying we get Lavine with our pick so we have Lavine/Wiggins after the trade, not Wiggins alone.

I don't think Wiggins is untouchable at this point and certainly MKG + the DET pick at 9 or 10 is a compelling package.

Lavine-Wiggins could be sensational.

Parker and Wiggins will be going 1 and 2 in no particular order but if you think either of them will fall beyond 3 your out of your mind.

Would you trade those three picks for someone already in the NBA, like Michael Carter-Williams? MCW and Kemba together could be like a bigger, reversed version of the Suns' Bledsoe-Dragic pairing.
Humble yourself.

Why the obsession with trading MKG?
