It's pretty close, he's not far behind.

Honestly, who would you consider better than him? Considering both sides of the ball, and all of his unused talents, I'm not sure it's even that close really.

Henson was going on a tear before his injury. It would be tough for me to say that Giannis is better than Henson right now.

He's literally the only guy I think you could make a case for, and I think Giannis is just so much more advanced than him offensively and still a stellar defender that I just couldn't put him above Giannis. Henson is our #2 asset though.

My favorite thing about this game was that it confirmed for me that when Radjulica goes up for a dunk it looks like he's just been pushed out an open window.

I have thought this for a while, and, now it becomes much more apparent!!!

The genius of this "tank effort" needs to be recognized. We have a "turrible PG", ---and--- a hungry, persistent, monumentally gifted, 'youngest player in the league', playing 'on' arguably... the worst coached team in the league. "AND" He is a beast!!!

The offense is baddy.. bad.. bad. A guy with 'these' intangibles, and constitution... has no choice, but, to try to become more *focal* offensively. I think the front office has intentionally or un-intentionally, forced Gianniss to be hungry for success.

His psyche has been tapped, I hope that management has the propensity to build around this talent. I have seen his energy quotient improve substantially.

Having to play with the likes of... "KNIGHT", Neal, Butler, and Ridnour... must have an impact!!!
I needs shades for this future thing we owning..... 8-) 8-) 8-)

Once he gets his offensive game polished and improves his strength a little bit he's going to be so good. I can't wait.

We don't really let him post up at all.

There was that one time he was posted up on a point guard and Ridnour looked at him and passed somewhere else, but we really never use him that way and its hard to even think of other times he has even had the opportunity.

Giannis' post game is a bomb waiting to explode. Every time he posted up in int'l comp he destroyed. It was crazy they only did it a couple times a game. Now he gets no touches there. It's crazy. I think sometimes coaches get an idea of what a player should be and lose sight of a broader range of abilities. This is especially true with traditionalists. To Drew's credit, the role he has envisioned for Giannis going forward is hardly traditional for a 7 footer, but it's still not making full use of the kid's length and footwork in the half court. There are only a couple SFs in the league I wouldn't feed Giannis' in the post against, and probably not many more PFs. He's just too quick and and long-legged and intuitive. It's a part of his game that needs to be encouraged.

Exactly.

I'm not saying we need to run Giannis into the post on every possession, but at least run a few plays for him that result in something other than a catch and shoot or Giannis as the ball handler in the pick and roll.

In a perfect world, Giannis develops into the ultimate do everything kind of player. He has the size to be the big in the pick and roll, pick and pop, handle the ball, post up, and face up. I understand not wanting to throw all of that at him at once, but running a few plays for him that aren't just Giannis as the ball handler in the pick and roll would be a good next step, and the post seems like a logical place to start since he has already demonstrated some skill there, especially against smaller guys.

I said it this preseason: Lebron's game in Durant's body. I think it fits when you think about what that means. It doesn't mean "best of both worlds."

I see what you're saying. I don't know if Giannis is a natural enough scorer to ever touch LeBron's offensive output, and obviously being in Durants body he won't exactly bully guys to the rim, but he plays with a remarkably similar mentality.

I'm just hoping he stays healthy, because if he does, I know for certain he will be a hall of famer.

The success of Giannis and MCW bodes well for Exum. Pairing Giannis with another freakishly long, quick, athletic ball handler who probably won't bitch about playing in Milwaukee sounds too good to me. I am still leaning Embiid/Parker, but if the league screws us and we end up with Exum that's an amazing consolation prize. Gotta love the good kind of tweeners who are matchup nightmares at 3 positions.

I'm just really hesitant to take Exum so high when we don't have much footage of him. Hopefully we can see something more before the draft.

Even the 16 minute long Draftexpress breakdown is way more than we could expect to see about a foreign prospect in years past. Pro scouts probably have access to a lot more footage. I'd love to see him go against Smart/Wiggins/PGs during the combine.
