Now that Lakers are washed up & we're struggling to rebuild, prior to the game why not take a trip down memory lane to the time when these were 2 top dogs in the league.
4 years later the misconception of us turning down the Amare trade because of JJ Hickson has died down, probably due to Amare completely fading away while still being on his 100m contract.
However.
During the trade rumors at the 2010 deadline there were also bunch of talk about trading for Iguodala, maybe not as close as Amare deal was (which realgm WT even reported as done before retracting), but it was still a possibility.
So how does that hypothetical trade change history? Sure this was before Iguodala ended up being who he is now, and that's one guy who I'd love to have on the team we have right now, specially alongside Deng.
ps. Despite of Amare's struggles, Antawn Jamison is still the worst player out the bunch.... unless we actually did consider Troy Murphy at the time

Uhhh what?
If we trade for Iguodala? Who do we give up? This is a really random topic haha

I think it was suppose to be some combo of Hickson/Z/picks mostly cause Philly wanted to tank at the time n dump AI2 salary.
Although not taking worked out for them cause they still ended up drafting 2nd despite 6th worst record.
Only if they drafted someone like Cousins/Monroe/George instead of Evan Turner with their pick
Oh god I'm turning into a realgm cavs basher type with this hindsight hypothetical drafting.

a) We didn't turn down an Amare deal.
b) I don't remember any serious talks about acquiring AI2 when we still had James. You might recall they got back a player who was thought to be the second best Center in the league when they did deal him.

a. I never said we did.
b. Also gave up Vucevic (one of best rebounders in the league), Mo Harkless, & a 1st rounder. Also received a priviledge to pay Jason Richardson 6m+ per year for next 3 years while he averages 10ppg for couple games & turns into Bynum. I guess this wen't under the radar.
it's also a deal that happen in 2013 not 2010. New CBA, etc.
