I think we should add 2 more judges to make it 7. 4 votes to win a series, just like 4 games to win a series.

How about something like this. Team A vs Team B, each judge says which team would win and in how many games, then each team gets the amount of wins as points so for example if judge X says team A in 7 team A would get 4 points and team B 3 points. Team with the most points after all the judges have voted wins

I think it doesn't get much simpler that this. Wins = points in order to advance, hell we can even still name it wins instead of points and we can have as many judges as we want with a system like this.

Edit: I posted this before I saw the post from Mister Hibachi, I like his system aswell

When is the judging process beginning? I'd consider volunteering as I wasn't able to participate in the draft.

It starts after the draft. We just started the 7th round of drafting, out of 10 total rounds. So hopefully sometime next week or around that time.

I actually like this system better because it rewards a team for taking it 7 games but still losing. If a matchup goes 6 or 7 games, in my system the losing team gets no points, which is kinda unfair because they clearly are pretty damn good for taking it 6 games. If a team gets swept then you don't get any points which is also fair.

Well in that case I'm up to it if you need more people for judging :)

Great to see that the very best posters on the PC board like Doctor MJ and now SideshowBob (BTW. both were ex-aequo voted as the best posters on here in 2013 in this thread viewtopic.php?f=64&t=1293101 ) have volunteered to be judges.

It'd be very nice if guys like tsherkin, fpliii and Texas Chuck also found enough time to throw in their two cents as judges. Just a loose suggestion guys.

get as many stat-heads to be judges as possible, then my moneyball approach to drafting will really pay off :D

I have two questions:

a) Should we take into account the fact that player A hated player B (or vica versa) in reality?

b) What's the final stance on the current ('14) season? There are some players who had a great campaign last season ('13), are blossoming now, but were much weaker previously. Not mentioning any names left, I think abhout guys like the already drafted Hibbert or Marc Gasol etc. Can we use '14 or not?
PC Board All Time Fantasy Draft:

PG Mark Price (92-94)
SG Manu Ginobili (05-07)
SF Larry Bird (84-86)
PF Horace Grant (93-95)
C Dwight Howard (09-11)

Bernard King (82-84) Vlade Divac (95-97) Derek Harper (88-90) Dan Majerle (91-93) Josh Smith (10-12)

Yeah, chemistry matters.

You can use '14 as one of the years as long as your player has played 75% of the their team's games by the time OUR playoffs start. If their team has played 60 games, they should have played in at least 45.

Im flattered and sure Id be happy to be a judge if needed. Just make sure I know I need to do it.

One team is standing out to me right now as my early favorite. Guess I shouldnt mention it tho if Im going to be a judge. Tho with this format it doesnt matter much since its all about matchups.

Cool idea for a project and Ive been grunching it.

Absolutely. I can't imagine a team with Jordan and Isiah or Bird and Laimbeer succeeding. Well, at least knowing what we do about them (maybe they could somehow reconcile their differences, but we'll never know).

Oops, sorry for mentioning a player who wasn't drafted yet.

I couldn't draft Chris Bosh to have alongside Shaq because I'm not sure how Bosh would handle the "Ru Paul" comparison

You nailed it. Skillwise, he would be such an awesome fit, though.
