we're prepared for the true tank when he spends the last 2 months of the season on the injury list.

can see it already, we slip a few games out of the 8:

Jefferson - Ankle season
MKG - Hand season
Kemba - shoulder season

let Hendo play because he doesn't win ****

I think he got higher than that doing that step-back J. Elite athlete, Al Jefferson.

ESPN's Tuesday's Best

Al Jefferson, Bobcats: Jefferson scored a season-high 35 points as the Bobcats snapped the Knicks' five-game win streak with a 108-98 win. Jefferson finished 14-of-20 from the field and had eight rebounds as the Cats retook the No. 8 spot in the East.

I'm sorry Jefferson for getting frustrated and sometimes wondering if we would've been better off if we signed Millsap instead. Now that Millsap is falling back down to earth I'm happy we signed you because I'm realizing that he's a worst defender than you. That's just my 2 cents. Lol

Clifford on Al Jefferson...

"He’s playing great. He’s done so much work with the team’s trainer, Steve Stricker, on strengthening his ankle that he just feels better. He’s stronger, he’s able now to use more of his full array of offensive moves because he can pivot off both feet, which he wasn’t able to do for a while. He’s a professional scorer down there. He’s been double-teamed so much or seen all the coverages and he has the mentality to make the right play. Not only is he scoring very efficiently, but our post up offense is getting better and better."

For the last week, he has been playing at an elite level (bad defense or not). Not many in the NBA putting up the numbers he is.

He's an 18-10 guy on a horrible offense with no perimeter threats to speak of.

The guy has been a stud, worth every penny of his supposed catastrophic contract.
It has been written...

Huge props to how he's been playing.

I still hope we trade him at some point.

I don't think we over-payed for him at all, 13.5 is a pretty good deal for a walking 20/10 center that is easily a top 5 offensive center in the NBA and is probably the most skilled center in the post, i think people said he was over-payed because he came to Charlotte, if he'd signed with Dallas (team he was rumored to go to) people would've said it was a great deal

Other than a rough stretch of about 3-4 games, he's been an elite big man ever since he shook off the initial rust following his ankle sprain. In December, he averaged 17.7 and 11.5 and so far in January, he's up to 20.6/10.8. Wouldn't surprise me if he finished the year with 20/10.

I don't think how we could say that we overpay him while having a 13M SG getting DNP-CD...

Moreover, skilled center has become a scarce resource in the actual NBA.

I'm just really thankful that he's playing hard and raising his value, he deserves his pay and it's extremely believable at this point that we may be able to get a nice return for him.

I admit I was worried by his effort but to say he has picked it up would be an understatement.
