Chalmers/Wade/LBJ/Bosh/?

Bosh would almost certainly have his way with Booker.

I liked Nene off the bench but you can't argue with results. Maybe the best
strategy is more/less what Nate suggested, start Nene but give him plenty
of /strategically timed/ rest.

KSera might have been useful last night as our more physical big.
All our bench bigs are flawed when Nene starts but each has some
potential to be useful in the right matchup. All of Book/KSera/Ves
have shown glimmers in the last 5-8 games. None are consistent.

This team seems really mental to me. They're more relaxed and play
better on the road (sux for season ticket holder like me). Who have
thought we'd win 7/8 road games with only loss being at IND.

In the last game, they started Allen and they were starting Battier when he was healthy. That means LeBron is the PF.

I am guessing Lebron would probably have his way with Booker as well :)

So they are totally going small ball. Booker or TA are probably best defensive options
agst LBJ. Nene has been going out away from the basket on D though. None of those
scenarios has me feeling optimistic.

I kind of like the school of thought that says don't concede by trying to match
them, try to make them match you. But I also recognize the potential for that
to go very poorly. Curious to see how Beal handles Wade. One approach to beat MIA
might be to focus on everyone but LBJ. We have a lot of players that are the right
size to play small ball. Choose among - TA, OP, Temple, Webster for the 2/3/4 positions.
If we get really desperate, Singleton and Ves. Hopefully it won't come to that.

Against GSW, it was effective for a while in the first half.

We've been so bad for so long that I'm torn on whether this is a good or bad thing - probably bad given the draft pick we gave up for Gortat.

Even if they get a 6th spot, they're either facing Atlanta w/out Horford or Toronto, a winnable series.

The 3-6th spots are the sweet spots.

What so sweet about it? Sorry for being cynica Rafaell, but beating Atlanta without Horford, or a mediocre, supposed-to-be-rebuilding Raptors wouldn't be much of a prize, IMO. I know the Wizards haven't won a playoff series in years, and winning won would be a step in the right direction, but I honestly don't think we'd be able to claim the team was even somewhat close to being championship material.

Just merely responding to Nigel's post that there's a good chance the Wizards could advance to the 2nd round depending on seeding. I wouldn't mind watching this team play through May, even if they only win a game in the 2nd round.

IDK

after winning < 30 games for many years, making the second rnd of the playoffs,
even against less than stellar competition, would be a major step forward for this
franchise.
