Great victory, scary third quarter, but it was only a matter of time before Miami would go on a run. They answered every time Miami cut it to single digits and continued to play tough defense down the stretch.

Well deserved, let's see if they can bottle up that home moxie.

Wizards shoot 52% and put up 102 points on the Bulls one of the best defensive teams in the NBA. Wizards shoot 54% and put up 114 points against the Heat, another great defensive team. Where are all the posters complaining that Wittman;s offensive system sucks and can't get players in a position to score?

Again, Wittman is not the greatest coach in the world. But the difference between the Wizard's losses and wins this year have had little to do with the coach and his system. They have a lot to do with the focus and energy of the players, and their ability to move the ball and hit open shots.

Love the energy of the Wizards tonight. They got a little comfortable in the 3rd and got sloppy with their passing, but glad to see them buckle down in the 4th. Best of all, I liked seeing the Heat crowd go home unhappy.

Oh quiet Millie, guys like you just never know when just to sit back and enjoy. Hate EG, Ted, Whitman, the cheerleaders, or whoever. Nothing but not so clever, piffy comments. Now shoooooooooo skippy...

All praise goes to Ted, Ernie and Randy. Great management trio. Their dedication is paying off.

This win means nothing if they suffer a let down against the Bulls on Friday.

We HAVE TO do some serious damage on this home stand. This game was sweet, but it won't end up being worth much if we go on to lose home games to the unimpressive competition we're facing before we head back on the road.

They looked so bad in the 3rd i was sure they would blow it. Glad to see them show some backbone in the 4th.

Wall struggled from 3 last month but has made 12 of his last 28. Just wish he would cut down on those careless turnovers.

What dont you understand? The proof is in the product on the court. Ted deserves praise for not listening to the fans and firing Grunfeld prematurely. Grunfeld deserves praise for putting the right supporting cast around Wall for him to thrive (while not eating up our cap) and Whittman deserves praise for turning Wall from a star to a superstar this year and teaching tough nosed defense.

Indeed, on the previous home stand the Wizards wasted a great opportunity to make up ground to Atlanta and to put themselves into the drivers seat for the third seed.

Good win! Nice to see the Wizards big dominate Miami's interior and Wall/Beal played well. Miami is missing Mario Chalmers- but I like the way that the Wizards can match up with Miami.

That little rest helped. Nice coaching move. Have to credit Witt sometimes.

Also he sat Beal's butt on the bench.. good to let him know that his spot as a "closer" on this team is far from cemented. If he's playing poorly we don't need him out there.

I thought it was really interesting on one play towards the end, still in doubt a little
but we were in the bonus and John was in transition and at first it looked like he was
going to use clock, and then he drove on Cole forcing the foul and he was hitting his FTs.

A signature win. Can't remember having that much fun in a long time.

Wiz fans are passionate but have been burned so many times we root scared.
But the fans gave up the love in the 4th Q tonight. We were all standing down the
stretch as we put the game away.

Great balanced team effort.

Nene with 9 assists. Team with 30 asst on 41 made FGs. Great teamwork.
That's what we have to do.

MIA was the last team without a single loss against the same division team. They were 8-0.

The big lead in the 1st half was very handy. Good move was benched Gortie at the end of the game after his tUrrible pass-turnover.

Shame CHI won in Orlando after 3 OT, but we can win again - we're on fire.

We play so much better with Nene in the starting lineup. Gets all our shooters much more easier shots. Really hope he can stay healthy.

Looked at Nene statline and seen 9 assists and had to double check to make sure I wasn't looking at Wall's

Well the good and possibly unexpected other side of that was Book getting a
dub-dub off the bench. Love it.

I disagree. Nothing is better like beat the champs for morale. Especially after @IND 2 big loses.

they NEED to do some damage in a serious way 'cause the schedule is going to get
much harder around Feb 1.

All the good will and progress will be blown if they don't go at least 4/5 on
the home stand now that they have the toughest game in the W column.
They need to get and stay ahead of TOR and ATL so they can have HC
in the playoffs. I know we're winning on the road lately but you still
need HCA in the playoffs.
