Heat looking to get younger? Not Bynum
Could the Heat be looking to younger and not via by Andrew Bynum? With yesterday short success of the implementation of Greg Oden on the court. The Heat may be very satisfied with its Deep front court that would have a rotation of James, Bosh, Birdman, Beasley, Haslem and Oden. The Heat have youth now in the front court with the infusion of Beasley and Oden. (Maybe not really want to count Oden, because his body and career lifespan will be as if he is 33 years old.) The point guard position has always been the position of youth. But the swing position is very old, Allen, Lewis, Wade and Battier. With plenty of depth could the Heat be looking to making another move before the trade deadline to find a younger swing player?

Re: Heat looking to get younger? Not Bynum
Wasn't there a tweet that gave us an idea about Riley's intentions? Something about there being 6 weeks or so until the trade deadline? [tweet]https://twitter.com/MiamiHEAT/status/423582331740651520[/tweet]
If we're taking that at face value, then I wouldn't be surprised if another move is made in the future, especially if Wade, Ray, and others continue to struggle.
Do you have anyone in mind?

Not really. We have no assets to get anyone decent. We already added Toney Douglas (27 YO) and if we really felt we need to, we can bring Ennis from Australia. I doubt we do that. Our real need is still in the front court.

i dont know what to thinka bout wade. he looks good at some games but crappy at anothers. I think he will never be consistent again .. it seems that every year his handling is worse and he cant creat as he used to .. makes me really sad
its clear by now who should be the 2 option on this team..

Get Ennis back. Put Battier and Ray on a maintenance plan already. Never ever play battier at the 4 except for when we play OKC and other small-ball teams.
Play Beasley, Ennis etc more.
Some Youngins we can look to target with our first round picks and a shooter or two : Thad Young and T. Jones.
Unlikely, but maybe if we all get together and sell our souls??

Yeah... In-fact, I really don't mind the dip in offensive production so much. Its the laziness on defense that is really telling. It kinda brings the team down I think. Also.. What in the world happened to his handle? It's been declining since 2011.
Another thing is that I don't know if anyone in the organization will really call out Wade and push him to put the effort in games. The media and analysts keep LeBron and to a lesser extent Bosh on their toes. Wade, however.. I don't know.. With him being so senior... Maybe only Pat can really do it..

Honestly all of us should be done with blindly hoping Wade will return to Top 5 form on a consistent basis... Those days are long gone.
He'll still have his games/moments though.

When are y'all gonna get it? He is the 2nd option and he's always been lazy. When you're not feeling it and not the first option, it's easy to just sit back and take it easy. Wade has always had those nights where you'd think "Is he drunk?!?", but as the number one option, he'd usually come around late, knowing he had to. Now he has LeBron, he has CB, he has Ray Allen, he has guys who can fill his void so he'll have nights like the last one. Him being sloppy last night has nothing to do with him losing his ball handling skills and everything with him being a lazy f*** who probably partied too hard the night before.

I remember that he was piss poor, downright atrocious for the most part of the game just to turn it on late. I think we'd all like him to do it more often, but he's taken a different approach to the regular season now. He's not playing for any awards anymore, he's not playing for stats and we'll win enough games anyways. Like it or not, but Wade's inconsistency this time around has nothing to do with decline or injury problems, but simply with his attitude.
I preferred the Wade with some fire under his a** too, but the fact that he nonchalantly brushed his atrocious free throw shooting against the Knicks off shows you where he stands mentality wise.

It's regular season laziness. He will win all of us back in the first round. I understand it is frustrating to watch him play like this in the regular season, he's my favorite player in the league and sometimes makes me cringe watching him have lazy turnovers and attempt ill advised shots. But I know he will be focused in the playoffs and that's all that matters in the end.

It's Shaq-itus. Lebron has been resistant to it.

if there is one thing ive learned about wade is to never doubt him. Thats true but i dont know..with all the beef with him and durant i expected him to bloweverything off this season. Hes recovering and taking it easy with his injury but i dont know. There alot of laziness but i have a sense he cant creat as he used to. Hope i am wrong. Probably im wrong but only time will tell

Honestly lebrons and the teams defense seems to light up when wade is playing hardcore. Hes not the best defender but when he goes to work everyone follows suit.

Wade is actually a pretty good defender. His positioning, timing and defensive awareness are pretty good when he's dialed in. The problem is, he rarely ever is.
