Rossi is an awesome player but you can't ever rely on him because you know he is gonna be injured for at least half the season.

Awesome from Berardi.
The horrible performance by Abbiati on 3 of 4 goals helped him very much, though.

Btw. is it true that only 4500 fans attended the Calgiari - Juve match? Damn.

Yes, Cagliari never has fans at their games. the situation is a huge mess and I feel bad for them and their president. It started last year sometime over stadium/legal issues. They can only allow that many fans into the stadium. Their president once told the fans to show up anyway and the game ended up getting cancelled as a result. He even got arrested for stuff related to this situation, but fans were supporting him and even came through with a vigil outside of his prison cell the few nights he spent locked up
i'm surprised the situation hasn't been resolved yet

All of the top 3 sides looking dominant again. I wonder if anyone can stop Juve, it seems impossible at this moment in time. I regret missing the Sassuolo v Milan game, sounds like it was awesome.

Moyes:
It is not entirely clear who or how many players he was there to keep an eye on, but there are some prime candidates.

The first is Cagliari and Italy defender Davide Astori, who has been put on the market for the right price in January.
He is also of interest to Southampton, Milan and Fiorentina, though an overseas move is most likely.

Another option is Juventus midfielder Marchisio, who has been repeatedly linked with Manchester United in recent years.
He certainly made his mark, scoring with a long-range shot after coming off the bench to replace Andrea Pirlo.

There are rumours potential other Moyes targets include Cagliari’s very fast Colombian striker Victor Ibarbo and Juve star Arturo Vidal.

Astori and Ibarbo are the most likely. The conditions at Cagliari lead their president to say all are free to go if they please, and he wouldn't blame anyone for wanting to leave. Nainggolan could be the first of a few.

Berardi:
“It is an evening I will certainly never forget,” he told Sky Sport Italia while clutching the match ball.
“I am happy for the four goals, but above all because this was an important win for Sassuolo and we really needed that boost.
“I dedicate the goals to our friend Francesco Acerbi, my family, my girlfriend and Coach Eusebio Di Francesco.

Acerbi has cancer, prayers

So long Massimiliano Allegri

I definitely feel bad for him...He took over a team of stars in the 2010-11 season and went on to win the title and coach of the year award.
his lineup: Image
(minus Pirlo becuase he was injured much of the year. Cassano joined in January to start over Robinho)

Look at the current roster to see how the club gave him no help...especially defensively. Last year was a miracle that he manged to qualify for CL...credit mostly to El Sha and Balo i guess.
This season there were long term injuries to Abate, De Sciglio, El Shaarawy, De Jong, Birsa... I think he's done all he could under such circumstances.

Milan actually have a bunch of good players if they could all get healthy. A solid squad rotation was never developed but add a center back with class and Seedorf will have a fine team to work with

Ibarbo would be a good player in the EPL. I know that he's not a star in Serie A, but it's hard to look good in Cagliari, especially with his style of play. But his speex, strength, and dribbling ability would make him a good option at the wing in the EPL, which is played with a lot more open space.

ya i completely agree. i just can't see Juve giving up any of their guys to Man United. Ibarbo would probably be cheap..so a low risk move for them as he doesn't have much hype but is a great player

Yeah I don't understand why Juve would be selling anyone or why any of their players would want to leave. I don't see a deal happening at all.

Football Italia came up with their team of the season (so far):

Image

Coach: Rudi Garcia [Roma]

Honorable mentions:
Miralem Pjanic [Roma] Gervinho [Roma], Kwadwo Asamoah [Juventus], Ricardo Alvarez [Inter], Romulo [Verona], Adem Ljajic [Roma], Alessandro Diamanti [Bologna], Jose Callejon [Napoli], Alberto Aquilani [Fiorentina], Francesco Totti [Roma].

my only issues are with the honorables. Should be Luca Toni or Palacio over Ricky Alvarez, Florenzi over Llajic, Cuadrado over Aquilani, and add Berardi and Bonucci to the list.

Juve is not selling at the moment, but they surely can't afford to pay a superstar salary to players like Pogba. Anyway I don't see many chances that Man Utd acquires him. He'll probably be bought by PSG, maybe next summer.

I feel bad for him too. Milan is going through a difficult moment from many perspective (management first of all) and the roster has plenty of holes BUT 22 points in 19 games are still ridiculous. If you consider the value of players Milan is worse than Juventus, Napoli and Roma, arguably worse than Fiorentina but that is all, even though Max had a lot of injuries and other problems Milan was clearly missing something. I don't know if I personally would have opted for firing him but i can see the logic behind this.

Maybe Monaco or PSG, but I thought we were talking about Marchisio. I doubt Pogba would even consider Man U.

Sorry I thought you were talking about Pogba because some sources today suggested that Moyes was watching the game for him. I think anyway it's almost the same. Juventus won't be able to pay certain salaries so at some point a painful loss (Marchisio or Pogba, probably the latter) will happen.

that goal was hilarious. But I feel like the ref's assistant still could have called the offside...
obviously the attacker in the offside position caused the defender to turn and react that way, so it could be said he was in fact involved in the play, specially since the ball was going to him

Jorginho of Verona may be going to Napoli before this month ends. He's been huge for them this season, would be a great addition to Napoli

Vucinic and Giovinco continue to be rumored to go to Arsenal. Vucinic would be a loan deal while Giovinco's agent admitted Arsenal requested information but said Giovinco will absolutely not be leaving this month.

Tevez with more praise for the Serie A:
Italy is my university. It is the most difficult league that I know, with tactics of the highest level. If you can score here, you can score anywhere. I want to win the Scudetto and Europea League to complete my collection.
