Chandler would be a huge difference maker for them. But I don't think a 3 way with Rondo is realistic. If im the Knicks I would be happy with Robin Lopez, CJ McCollum, and a first round pick. There's room to get a 3 rd team involved and to absorb about 9 million in salary. Lopez replaces Chandler as the starting center. McCollum is a high ceiling rookie who replaces JR and also becomes a future trade asset. The first rd pick would come in 2016.
The 9 million can be used either to take on a contract of a serviceable role player ( ie baby Daviis or Jason Thompson) or a bad contract for a draft pick (ie Kendrick Perkins and a2014 1st).
It's something to think about as the team is loaded with big expiring contracts next year but no assets to package with them.
