I was thinking perhaps this is the key to maximizing Jennings passing/scoring abilities.
He may one day figure out how to balance the two 50/50 at the PG position, but for now maybe its best if they just let him focus on one task at a time, and use him accordingly.
He has displayed elite ability as a passer/playmaker. He's also displayed it as a scorer. The problem is he rarely displays simultaneously. So maybe instead of trying to make him both in one, when he's at PG just use him as primarily a playmaker, and then when you want to utliize his scoring bring in Will/Stuckey to run the point and move Jennings to SG.
That way when he's in a groove with his shot, it becomes a positive instead of negative. Before when he has it going and takes a bunch of shots at PG, it ruins the flow of the team offense. At SG though, if he's in a groove we can keep it going and benefit from it, as long as we have another PG in the game to keep the offense flowing as a team.
I think Cheeks might be starting to figure out how to use this roster. With the new frontcourt rotation and utilizing Jennings scoring off the ball, it seems like the two major problems affecting this team all year may now have solutions.
