1. Most everyone will be shocked if the Rams actually pick at #2. If they do, it will be Greg Robinson, T, Auburn.

2. Biggest 1st round variable is the 4th QB, which is Derek Carr. Bridgewater, Manziel and Bortles will be gone in the top 8. Carr could go as high as 8 or as low as 26 if draft were today.

3. Did not hear from one employed NFL scout that Mike Evans is a first round talent. Watch him fall to the 40s where he belongs IMO.

4. Jerry Glanville is still the Man in Black, and still awesome. That is fact.

5. The Cleveland Browns are a sad joke, and everyone loves laughing at Mike Lombardi. And I mean everyone.

Wow, really?

If the Niners could snag a CB with our first round pick (my personal favorite is Verrett) and then move up in the second to grab Evans, I would be beside myself.

so the rams are actively shopping #2? who are some likely teams that would move up?

How far can matthews move up? He's obviously got ivy league smarts and the league is desperate for qb's. Could he push up to the 3rd round potentially?

Also who's your top safety in this draft pryor or dix?

Good question. Cleveland is a potential, so is TB. Sort of depends on #1. If Bridgewater doesn't go 1, and I don't think he will, the market for Clowney will be HOT. Minny and Oakland will be suitors. ATL could look to climb too.

Heard a couple of things tonight from people I really trust that Bridgewater will not go #1. There will be one issue at the Combine that kills it for him.

I can see Mathews going in the 3rd round comps to the middle of the 4th. The Raiders guys here were talking about him very favorably yesterday, though that's more of a statement than a projection.

Hmmm don't usually think of the combine having a big effects on a QB.

Either teams think he's too skinny or there's something that's going to come up in the interview portion are my guesses.

So if not Bridgewater #1 is another QB in play for Hou?

Bortles. Some will tell you Manziel but I'd be stunned if he went to Houston.

Please let him fall to the Jags...

As far as the one issue, is it the hands?

It is the hands. Speculation is they are 8.5" and that's a real issue. Honestly I have no idea about his hand size.

is there a particular reason why les snead is sticking with sam bradford? lot of mocks show rams getting a offensive lineman but their o-line hasn't performed half bad and they just signed jake long last year to be their left tackle.

don't see why they don't just cut their losses with bradford and draft one, qb play seems to be the only thing keeping that club from making the playoffs even in nfc west.

I've never been a Bradford fan. Had him as a 2nd rounder with injury flags waving. But too many people who would know are insistent they are happy with Bradford. I don't get it at all. At his best he's the 12th best QB in the league and he's not at his best all that often. QB purgatory to quote my good friend @NFLosophy from Twitter.

I think it's crazy too but I'm not sure it's really that far fetched. I know some NFL scouts that really like him. Saban has been selling him nicely too.

I think the Griffin trade looks pretty good for them right now.

Jeff, done any work on Jeff Janis? He seems like an intriguing height/size/speed prospect to me for a later round WR prospect. He seems to play to his rumored 4.36 speed, but you can only tell so much from youtube highlights (not even cut ups) of him.

Yep, kinda like being a 7 seed in the nba. You're not good enough to go anywhere and to good to tank

It is now yes, but if griffin returns to his rookie form I make that trade again. Plus if stl doesn't get a qb eventual they aren't going anywhere either

I think best case he's an Andy dalton/Alex smith type, guy who's gonna need a really good team around him Togo anywhere
