GT: Trailblazers vs. Spurs

Post#1 » by Nolan » Fri Jan 17, 2014 5:18 am

When: 8:30 PM ET, January 17, 2014
Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX

Tomorrow nights going to be a big one for us against the Blazers. We need to finally play a good 48 minutes against an elite team.

Go Spurs!!

We need a win against an "elite" team. These guys might qualify.

We lost our first game againts them, but it was at Portland.

This should be payback. I think we win this game.

Interested to see whether we can keep LMA in check. Usually after someone plays huge againts us, we make sure it doesn't repeat.

Yeah, he has a bruised right shin apparently. He wants to play but Pop will probably overrule.

I think Portland might be better than us. We just can't figure them out.

Portland is simply a bad matchup because of Aldridge. He is too young for Duncan, too big for Diaw and too good for Splitter. (even though Splitter is our best option to guard him)

I still think we beat them in the playoffs though. (with everyone healthy)
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”

Wow at LMA. He's possibly the league's best post up scorer right now. That is one impressive win for Portland. To come here to our house and take the win was huge.

Anyways, anybody else feel like we're lacking a closer this year? Tony Parker was that guy last year. Manu Ginobili was that guy in the years past.

In 7 games i think we take them. But we NEED to be healthy from 1 to 15. We certainly missed splitter tonight. Sure, he'd probably get bullied around by LMA a bit but he's the height we needed. I gotta give props to Boris, he tried his hardest but LMA is just beasting this year.

Manu passing it to the ref pretty much killed the game off  but i'm not gunna hate, he was absolutely locked in up until that. W/o him he might have lost by 10-15.

He should shave his head more often
