Disagree. I think he has decent value. Above average on D, can shoot the 3, vet, has had some big games in the playoffs.

He has little to no value right now. It's because of his contract. Why would you trade for half a season of a decent player? Better yet, who would give up anything for half a season of Chalmers.

if you want to tank, you would want a half a season player

I thought so too when he is basically trying to come up with a reason of WHY they let go of Joel, when Heat have been trying to get rid of Joel for 2 years... we just so happen to finally get rid of him.

Our squad is fine right now. We have so many guys who have low pay checks or vet mins plus the Big 3, it can't get any cheaper this year.

Some of you guys really don't value or understand the value Chalmers has for us. Hes' been HUGE for us during this Big 3 run. He's the PERFECT PG we need with the big 3.

You don't understand the topic at hand. I was talking about his value on the open market at the moment. It generally helps to have some concept of the discussion when you barge into it.

He's been good as a pg' He has been a pretty good handler who can read the floor well when he's got the ball in his hand. He cam also shoot 3's and defend at an above average rate.

For what we need a 3 N D point guard, chalmers does a pretty good job

The most optimal pg for the team would be mike conley jr. But I dont think a chalmers/conley trade works both financially and now that gasol is back and they're in the playoff picture.

Man that'd be awesome if we could get conley. One of my favorite non heat players

This. Rose talking out of his ass, he has no Heat source, bet on it.

Except he's pretty close with Juwon.

That said, I think he was speculating. Which is quite different from saying "Sources told me this or that is going to happen".

He's entitled to his opinion, and he might think it makes more sense to trade one of the 2.

I am also entitled to my opinion and I think he's wrong.

I do still want Okafor, though, if he gets healthy this season (and hopefully by then the Suns are in full tanking mode and buy him out).

High value (Chalmers). Chalmers almost always steps up in the biggest of games. Remember our collapse against Dallas in Game 2 of the 2011 NBA Finals? He was the one that drilled the three to tie it up with 26.7 seconds left to play. He's hit big shot after big shot for us. He was the X-Factor for us in Game 4 vs. OKC. He's become a fine player for this team, doing exactly what we need from a PG playing next to Wade.

That alone will boost his value, but his production won't be the same outside of this system.

People in this thread do not know that people speculate too.

People in this thread do not know the difference between speculation and using an inside source and relying that information to the public.

Something just hit me. What if he was talking about Rondo?
