He'will always be a bench player because his defense is ugly, but his offense is niice

He was matched in play by Ryan Kelly, so yeah, his defense ain't great. But he brought back memories of his Summer League play tonight. Remember the Dirk comparisons? There are two constants in life: death, and fanbases drastically overrating their rookies.

Hindsight is a great thing. Shabazz (a SF), was taken 1 spot ahead of Giannis. Ouch.

Trey Burke is so good, he is a true leader. He already won about 4-5 games for his team himself. How did so many team pass on this guy?

Lots of teams have good PGs.

1. Cleveland - Irving
2. Orlando - Oladipo was the best prospect after Noel who dropped because of injury
3. Washington - Wall
4. Charlotte - Walker
5. Phoenix - Bledsoe/Dragic
6. New Orleans - Drafted Noel, traded for Holiday
7. Sacramento - Vazquez/Thomas

There was also the concern with his height and not being very quick for his height. He's got to improve his consistency, but it's natural for rookies, I'm really not concerned with Burke, he's going to be just fine. :-)

Most impressed by his passing. I think his defence will improve, he is never going to be a great defender but he can be a better one.

Hes a 7 foot guy with high BBIQ, can pass and can shoot. Think he will become a decent player in this league.

Other than oladipo the top 5 picks have been a huge disappointment i expected at least porter and Anthony bustnett to be average but man was I wrong :-?

I love Dipo but its clear the biggest impact players for there team is Burk n MCWILLIAMS.

Take those two out and they only get 10 wins so far. Once Afflalo or Meer is gone Dipo will likely make the same impact.

He's the 36th ranked PG this season in Hollinger's PER rankings.

I think he's a pretty good floor leader, a big-time competitor, and will eventually be a decent outside shooter. He's also a fine FT shooter. But, he also has major weaknesses that will never go away. First, he will never be even an average defensive player. He's too short, too physically weak and way too slow in a world of way more athletic, strong and/or long PG's, to ever be something other than a bad defensive player.

Second, he doesn't have the size or quickness to ever be an efficient shooter in the paint or going to the rim.

This is not the picture of a kid who is likely to develop into an elite or borderline all-star PG. Teams that have great talent around him and who can protect him on D, could certainly win with him as its PG. But he'll never be the first or second best player on a championship team.

U kinda just started typing and didn't say who u were talking about. At first I thought it was Marshall but then I realized he's not a rookie. Maybe someone coming
in the 2014 draft? Or maybe Larkin

Edit: Probably Trey Burke?!

MCW 19 points (on 8-12 shooting) at the half, also 3 steals. Bouncing back nicely after 2 bad games against the Heat and Bulls.

Finishes with 31 points (13-22), 6 rebounds, 5 assists (should be more, but nobody could hit a damn shot), 3 steals. 2 turnovers very early on, but played clean and didn't commit a turnover the rest of the way. Freethrow shooting was suspect, but still a great game. Singlehandedly kept the sixers in the game.
