That frees us from nothing.

That Grantland article is right, we have taken a large step backwards this year so far.

Yes, Josh has been hideous at times, Jennings has had some Jennings moments, Mo Cheeks has looked like hes drowning at times but the stunting of the Monroe/Drummond development is just a killer. Drummond is pulling in 13 & 13 with literally not even lobs thrown for him, those are all hustle stats. Monroe isnt even used much aside from the first quarter.

We have completely lost ourselves.

I only watched the first half, I wonder why KCP didn't get more shot attempts- he looked like he was having a very hot start of the game.

And, Im really tired of this teams post game comments, they are always the same "we didn't come out with energy, don't know why etc..." This is inexcusable. This team has no leadership and is not being held accountable for laying many goose eggs.

Joe would be a fool to not make any trades- that said- I doubt there are any on the horizon.

Or the classic, "we'll take a look at the tape and see where we went wrong." excuse.

It looks like the teams' packed it in .If Joe's got any chance to save the team this yr, and his job, he has to make a trade now. Cheeks has lost the players confidence, if he ever had it, a long losing streak now and the locker room is gonna get ugly.

I understand that Stuckey had a great game and he's primarily a SG, but if Cheeks is going to play Singler at PF, i'm sure Stuckey or KCP could play SF.
Im getting really sick and tired of Cheeks not rewarding guys that constantly bring energy and effort and let others get chance after chance even though they play lazy and undisciplined. It's infuriating.
I would rather watch KCP, Jerebko and datome play 48 minutes than some others who couldn't give a **** about the team.
This team never has any intensity and heart on both ends of the court. There's no unity or structure within the team. It's a complete mess.

Why am i ranting at 3 in the morning?? GRrrrrr stupid cheeks!!!
Its literally the same thing that happened when Afflalo was here. People here wanted the new guy to get some more minutes because of his effort and defense. Except this time, KCP is hitting his shots now at an earlier rate than AA.

Someone updated Cheek's basketball reference page with a new middle name.

Unfortunately I'm scared Dumars will find a way to screw up this team worse with a trade. Seeing as JR Smith is available that's probably were Dumars is looking lol.

Stop it, smh.

Didn't Dumars try to go after JR when free agency first started?

Stop what? Dumars just near maxed Josh Smith to play SF.

Dumars is capable of anything

 , I'm not even kidding when I say He has to be the dumbest player in the league. He's literally made Jennings BBIQ go up a notch just playing alongside him.

Everytime he shoots that 3 I picture Dumars head as the basketball

Worst part is Cheeks has been giving him the majority of his minutes at PF now and he still goes right back to chucking after playing two good games resulting in wins playing the right way. There is literally something wrong with him in the head.

Duh, that's literally what he does. He has nearly 10 years of historical evidence of him doing exactly this.

He thinks he's.
A. a point forward despite terrible handles and tunnel vision
B. A jump shooter despite having great athleticism
C. A great post up player despite being robotic in his movements ala Dwight Howard

This chart sums up just about every Pistons fan's frustrations as well as ATL.

Want to see his last year's shot selection when he did play PF?

I mean I get the argument that he's playing SF so that requires him to provide some spacing for our young talented bigs. But the problem is, he's not going to stop firing away. Putting him at PF and giving him a stern talking to not shoot isn't going to work. That has been well documented from statisticians and fans. He's literally the definition of dying by the jumper.

Jennings looks really frustrated with Smith for not giving him the ball. I can't imagine what goes through the heads of our other players when Smith (and Jennings has this problem too) continue to chuck up bad shots with no repercussions from the head coach.

Smith is what he is offensively...did you really expect him to come here and completely change his offensive game? Not to mention, playing him at small forward doesn't help the situation. And the no repercussions from the head coach is complete bull yo, how many times has Smith been benched this season? Is Cheeks going to get in his face after every questionable, bad, or missed shot? No and there's not one coach in the league that would.

As frustrating as any of you may be with Smith, he's still been the best and most valuable player for the team this year. Drummond when he's going is definitely there but he isn't consistent and makes 3-4x more boneheaded plays than Smith, probably on both ends. Drummond is a 6'11 freak of an athlete though and hides behind of the excuse of being young for most of you. It is what it is.

I guess I get bothered mainly by everyone ganging up on Smith is because when **** goes bad, it's obvious his fault but when things go well, you guys still give him ****. When we played our best in December and had that nice winning streak, it was because of Smith. This ROSTER isn't set up to win.
