Beal is only 20, I think we have to give him time to adjust to the concept of playing unselfishly all the time. At the beginning of the season he was given the green light to take shots whenever he wanted, and he was probably getting too cocky for his own good. He needs to get knocked down a peg.
It's funny, the general public assumes the 'me-first'/'AAU' comments Randy has been making were directed towards Wall. In fact, out of everyone who gets minutes the very worst offender of that is Beal. He's just 2-3 years removed from playing AAU ball and you can see a lot of those bad habits.. taking bad shots, overdribbling, relaxing on defense, etc
He needs to be instructed to go back to the basics.. move the ball, play defense, and make open threes like Webster and Ariza do. Thinking you're a star doesn't make you one.
