Your only issue is shot creation on the perimeter. Payton is decent offensively but he's no Paul, Nash or Magic.
But with Sidney and Hornacek you'll be ok I guess. I'm sure your offense will be more post-up based anyway, so with the passing of Duncan, Marc and Sampson you can run backdoor plays for slashers.
Your problem playing me will not be scoring the ball, but trying to prevent my guys from breaking the three-point record before half-time
Sidney and Payton will get the better of Nash on both ends of the floor. I love Sampson guarding Dirk. But the worst is Glen Rice trying to guard Cornbread. Oh lord what a mismatch that is.
You seem to be forgetting that Nash is not an iso-player. The man defense of your guards can be negated by a simple screen. This is not Laker Nash who can't take advantage of an opening before the screener slips. One screen and boom, I've got Nash in the paint with Dirk either rolling to the basket (where he was 69% in 2011) or sliding back to mid-range (where he shot 52%). If one of your other guys comes to help, you'll be leaving Rice (45% 3-point shooter) open, or Dumars (late 30s-early 40s). Hell, Nash shot 56% from 2 point range in 2007, he's very adept at just pulling up himself if he gets the slightest opening.
You have great defensive big men but none of them are fast enough to combat the screening game that Nash thrives in.
GP and Moncrief can harass Nash down the court and mercilessly beat Nash up in the post on the other end
