GT #40: Sixers @ Wizards 2 PM MLK Jr. Day

Post#1 » by FAH1223 » Mon Jan 20, 2014 4:54 pm

Happy MLK Day everyone. May we remember the sacrifices those before us made in the civil rights movement and remember we still have obstacles to face even still!

With that said, the Sixers and Wizards have split a pair this season and it looks like the Wiz will get this W. I'm still hoping Grunfeld leaves somehow someway!

Relax. Ji called for snow, so it will be 73 and sunny tomorrow.

Wall should win this game by himself with the way they play D and Im dead serious. Only thing that scares me is the early start time which we usually suck at. Really interested to see how Beal bounces back

Well said on both accounts. Go human rights... go Wiz.

Man, Beal loves a long, contested 2. I get it: he knows he needs to be aggressive, yet he doesn't have the skills to consistently get other kinds of shots off.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

I have to believe we would have won the last game if he was in - no way Smith goes off like he did.

I really wish Beal studied James Harden. 3s and drives. Instead, nothing but contested long 2s.

Wow I like how Seraphin went into the defender on the last one instead of fading away like he normally does. Powerful take right there.

Beal can't handle the ball like Harden can -- or Wade, for that matter. Once Beal's handle improves, I think he'll take it to the hole more. But for now, he's seems to be more comfortable shooting within 1-2 dribbles -- which means he's usually shooting from the perimeter.
