Agreed. A win once in a while for them is perfectly fine.

Cut Lorenzo brown or Williams already!

Dudes have shown zilch.

And yeah those guys have shown absolutely nothing. Blue would develop and could become a piece off the bench our future squad. Tough defender and slasher. Improved shooting...he's just a warrior.

We're gonna need guys on the wing who can defend, hustle and make an open shot.

Blue,Ebanks both fit that mold in the d league. Wouldn't mind either one brought up for the rest of the year.

By chance I saw Blue play when I was in Israel last month lol. I had no idea that he was playing there and didn't recognize him, was surprised to hear his name. Apparently he was waived, and that was one of the worst teams in the league there that he was on.

I think he's in a much better position here than over in Isarel. Sixers could easily dump one of their bum guards and sign him.

Why would he be in a much better position against far tougher competition?

I think you misread my post. Unless you're saying that the D-League is far tougher competition, which I doubt. It's obvious why he's in a good position here.

The NBA is far tougher competition. You're saying that the Sixers should dump one of their bum guards and sign him but he was waived by a bad team in a league with far worse competition.

There are plenty of reasons why a player may not succeed or play well at first overseas. I mean look at Brandon Jennings. He didn't play much or get into a rhythm in Italy and the year after he's drafted with some great performances for the Bucks. Obviously he's on a different tier talent-wise, but my post is still in regards to a player being in the best situation to prove himself to make an NBA roster, even if it is being the final man.

I don't see how it's not a good situation playing for the d-league team of the NBA squad he was a part of for camp and preseason. If Blue has a few more eye-opening games don't be surprised if he makes the team in place of Williams or Brown.

I'm not saying that the D-league isn't a good situation for him. I'm saying that the D-league is not the NBA. I'm also not saying that we won't or shouldn't sign him, but I just wouldn't expect more than what the guys you would want us to cut have shown.

Haha well, admittedly I am biased. But I also have seen every college game he played and truly believe he could be a contributor off the bench. I know I'm not an NBA scout. I don't know a ton about Elliot Williams or Lorenzo Brown. Seems like Williams left school a bit too soon and I'm not sure Brown is what I'd look for in a backup point.

Of course if Blue ends up playing in the NBA and doing well I hope it's with Philly.

I actually like Blue, thought he gave energy off the bench. Liked him more than Wyatt

Vander Blue to sign with the Celtics.....that sucks. I guess we have the 87ers to help out the Lakers and the Celtics.

This year, yes. I would rather have the 87ers help out tank competition than us
