That would be surprising but somewhat exciting. I just hope if this is happening, that the first round pick has fairly heavy protection. Most of the picks we own have that, except the Lakers pick for next year could be a really good one, so that would be the one I wouldn't want to trade. I would never trade any of our own future firsts either unless they were lottery protected for years.

I would rather not as well, but he is an unknown. Generally, I'd rather we build through the draft, so I'd rather stay put and trust that McD makes the right selections, even if it takes 3-5 years to build a serious contender.

I think those that just want to compete now would prefer to mortgage part of our future for the present. It doesn't seem like McD would give up on Len so quickly unless the medical team told him they didn't feel good about the situation.

If the trade went down, it seems there would have to be some more moves, because it doesn't make sense to have all of our power forwards.

If that happened, perhaps we would also try and move Frye for Asik or something.

I don't put much credence in a Simmons tweet, but the fact that he deleted leaves me a bit more curious.

Edit: On doing a Simmons search, I noticed he had just written an apology for a controversial article about an hour ago, so perhaps he thought he should not post out random potential nba trades while the controversy around that article was still simmering.

I'd be very interested in acquiring Sanders, and if McDonough is half the analytics guy I think he is, so would he. I think if he gets out of Milwaukee and gets a fresh attitude adjustment he'd be back to being the defensive force he was last year.

Interesting! I think the deletion of the trade is more interesting than the trade itself. Although I still would like to see what Len can do, Young could help this team both now and in the future.

My problem with the deal, (aside from moving Len) is that it still leaves us with no post prescence. Unless you have a Jordan or LBJ, its damn near impossible to win w/o a post player. We'd be very much like last years Nuggets.

Why would Sixers want Len? They already have Nerlens Noel. I just don't see McD trading Len at all......

Noooooope. He's a knucklehead who is like 11m per starting next season. At that price he should be a massive upgrade over Plumlee, and I don't think he is.

Is Noel really big enough to play the five?

Many interesting ideas with a trade like that for us. We could move Frye to the back up center, which he has already played with the Morris twins. Plus I think those three could do well against many benches. But Turner would make things difficult at the two three spot. Do we start him, and move Green to the bench? Tucker? Would that mean that LB would be cut? And then what happens when Bledsoe comes back?

On paper, we would be better now, and possibly better in the future as well. It makes minutes tight this year, and it could hurt our chemistry (if we still have much left).

Oh well, fun to see the drama unfold.

"@PhillyAlertNews: Sources are saying #Sixers trade Thad Young to the #Suns for a (2014) first round pick" at about 11 am Monday

They could be going off of Bill Simmons tweet, but its still interesting. Young did play 30 minutes tonight.

I do not put any credence in a Bill Simmons tweet or suggestion.

I seriously doubt McDonough has interest in trading Len just when he is now able to play. The whole notion smells like more Bill Simmons BS.

Did they delete that tweet or something? I went to their page but I see no mention of a Young trade

The full trade doesn't really make sense for Philly though. Their top two scorers for a raw center and a mid to late first rounder?

I have always been a team fan first, not player fan. However, when it comes to Len for some reason I've become somewhat of a a Len fanboy. There,I admit it and finally come out of the closet! His play so far certainly doesn't warrant this attention, I am just very intrigued by his potential and hope he has long and productive career with this team.

I'll be bummed if he is traded, that's all.

I like Len's toughness, it brings something to our team, but I could give him up to bring talent to the team, which Young has. The ankle thing still has me concerned.

But I still don't see why Philly does it, and why now? Guys are still injured that would take the vacant spots, and Anderson is even scoring 9+ points per game. So they give up 18,17, and 9 points a game, for Len? :o

Don't worry Len will not be traded. The Suns are ecstatic to have him on the floor and developing. They finally get to see him perform for extended minutes yesterday and we ship him off for Thad "Freaking" Young and Even "soon to be free agent" Turner. This is all garbage recycled by a self proclaimed insider from Boston named Jake Fischer who claimed to have this inside information a couple of weeks ago. But if you read what he wrote carefully, you realized he had no inside information and he was just throwing up sh*t to see if it stuck. Complete garbage.

I love the new one one that says Young was traded at 11am this morning and then he plays for Philly this evening.

Use your heads boys, a little skepticism on this stuff is in order. Has anyone that has a proven track record of knowing what the Suns are doing and thinking (i.e. Paul Coro) reported this? NO! Are we sitting down the Morris Brothers, Frye, Tucker or Green to make playing time for Young and Turner?

These "trades" with the 76ers make no sense whatsoever.

We'd have like 47 combo-forwards on the team.

His contract is a little steep, but if we could get this guy: http://www.bucksketball.com/2013/02/lar ... science-2/ - and still defend the 3-point line like we have been I think we'd be super duper dangerous when we get Bledsoe back.

Guys, BIll Simmons doesn't have inside info. He has NEVER claimed to have inside info. All he does is dick around with the trade machine because he enjoys it, just like us. Stop acting like he's saying the trade is going to go down.
