I was waiting for the Greek dude to ask:

"How does it feel...how do you say...lose your starting spot to a rookie?"
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Anybody ever watch the HBO series The Wire? In season two there's a main character named "The Greek" and I always think of Giannis.

It'd be nice if to find out what's the hold up keeping his family from coming over. I wonder if Greece is holding things up because they don't want to chance severing ties monetarily with him.

his family does NOT have, Greek papers
Giannis and his brother only got Greek Citizenship, after the country found out they are possible nba prospects

it sounds like, his parents have to go through the process of getting Greek citizenship first, then come to the usa, or go back to Nigeria and get their paperwork in order

its a mess either way

Interesting, you'd think if the PM was all about getting this photo op with Giannis he could have at least pulled some strings for his parents.

im not 100%
but i believe, because his parents were Not born in Greece, they Cant get citizenship

i havent heard about any other, loop hole, about anyone, being able to get Greek citizenship, while NOT being born in Greece

except, MAYBE, for serving in the Military (for men)
which is mandatory for all Male Greek Citizens
again, theres loopholes for that too ($)

That exist until you are 43 y/o. After that even if you get the citizenship you dont have to service at the army.

What a shock his body must be going through. From a heart-healthy Mediterranean diet to a Wisconsin diet of beer, brats, cheese, and apparently smoothies.

Yes, that's all MIlwaukeeans eat is beer and cheese. There really are no other alternatives on most menus. Just Pabst and mild cheddar.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Jim Rome is going to be talking about Giannis and his smoothie tweet shortly. He just teased it and totally butchered his name, but it's still nice to see Giannis get some national run that isn't confined just to blogs and Twitter.

I assume this has already been mentioned here, but I was reading one of his blog posts, and I thought this was great.

"Sanders is..spoiling me.

I did, however, receive an expensive gift from my teammate Larry Sanders, who gave me a pair of Gucci shoes. I told him that he shouldn't have given me such an expensive gift. He said: "You are my rookie and I have to take care of you." Maybe he is spoiling me so that I will throw him more lobs!

All the veterans in the team have embraced me. Me and all the other rookies. We are like a family and I like that. I admit that I am twice as happy, since I found myself in the right team at the right moment and was given the chance to compete. I think it would have been torture not playing, with such a high rate of games and trips. In practice you do the basics, so if you do not compete you stay behind. But, thankfully, I even have the luxury of playing a lot, and I can improve through the games."

1. I know trashing Larry has become popular lately after his bar incident and the technicals and stuff that seem to not be improving, but it's little things like this that I think he does behind the scenes that adds to his value. I know Larry isn't perfect off the court, but he's a guy that really seems to have embraced being a Milwaukee Buck and wants to see this organization succeed. That's a pretty drastic change from guys that we've had on this team in recent years.

2. The second bolded part just makes me love Giannis even more. We were so lucky that nobody else took a chance on him before it got to our pick.

That is prety much what Giannis was in the greek 2nd division. He used his athleticism and handling to drive into the lane, dunk it, dump it to the big man after the penetration or kick it to a perimeter shooter.
