Just a little bit of interest here. I know we all dream the Hawks win the Title, but I want to be more specific with our dream... in Honor of MLKJr Holiday... Let's have our own I have a dream moment....let's mention 1 move... player(specific), coach (specific), GM (specific) acquisition or player (specific) traded away... (not specific trade just see the player come or go) that we would have for these Hawks over the next year.
Here are the things we don't want to see in this thread:
1. Win Title.
2. LBJ
3. Durant
4. Win Draft Lottery.
My Hawk Dream would be to acquire Anthony Davis. This guy is the future. I would trade away any and everything for him.

I'll partake: a player I'd love to have is Stephen Curry. Being able to watch this kid game in and game out would just be amazing, he hits 3s with his eyes closed.

Re: I have a Dream.... For the Hawks.
I have a dream, that a team of hard working, focused, well coached 2nd and 3rd tier players can beomce a force in this league for the next 16 years.
That Dennis becomes a stud, top PG.
That we can, Detroit Pistons style, win the title with a team whose sum is greater than its parts.
That we actually begin a sell out streak that lasts more than an entire season of fans that come to actually cheer the Hawks, not just the opposition.
That Jenkins becomes Reggie Miller 2.0.
That Mike Scott becomes Paul Millsap 2.0.
That Horford spends his entire career in a Hawks uniform and goes out as the best Hawks PF ever with at least one championship ring.

Looks fun...
My dreams for the Hawks:
1) we end up with a better record than BRK. Don't care if it's by 1 game, just want to prove that we could be better without JJ
2) we come out of the draft with at least one of Noah Vonleh or Jerami Grant (just got a hunch on those 2)
3) get another young veteran to build around (for purposes of being specific - I'll put out Greg Monroe)

My dream has always been for the Hawks to be recognized as a team that plays the right way. Happily, I think we're on our way.
However, to be selfish (and obey the spirit of this thread), my further dream is for us to add a dominant big man, one true Center, to make us a terror inside. If we could ever become the team that dominates inside the way WE keep getting dominated...
So, I guess we need BKN to start losing their way back into the lottery and to win the Embiid pick ... AND for Embiid to become all he can.

My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

i was watching the BKLYN Knicks game today. The Nets are playing like winners. They move the ball very well. Their talent is starting to show itself. And Joe Jesus is looking like the man there. I was watching and recalling all those times that Paul Pierce talked crap about Joe Johnson's allstar bids... Now Pierce is "deferring" to Joe... I think Kidd might not be so bad.

D@mn... Had a longer post but I lost it. Always hated that - never remember if I re-make all the points...
Anyway, I give credit to them. Kirilenko coming back was everything I feared and the hiatus Kidd took must have been what the dr ordered. Still, there's a Hawk's homer in me that still sees a 10 pick coming out of the swap. JJ was always hot in January before cooling off in February; how long will KG's fountain of youth last?; does this BRK team honestly want that 7/8 seed more than the other 4-5 teams that are competing for it?
Still, even if BRK holds onto the 16 seed then all it does to the draft is refocus the sights from Vonleh to Grant. As mentioned up top, I have a hunch on both being excellent players going forward.

That Brooklyn team has won 7 of their last 8 games. They have beaten the Heat and the Pacers in that stretch. They made the Knicks look like a d-league team yesterday. Maybe Kidd is a good coach is all I can say.
