Old thread left off here
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

Among 25+ PPG Scorers:

.636 2P% = #1 in NBA history

.623 eFG% = #1 in NBA history

.663 TS% = #2 in NBA history

Insanity.

Miami with Lebron On/Off in January (via NBAWOWY)

ON

116.1 ORTG, 110.2 DRTG, +5.9 Net

OFF

94.7 ORTG, 114.0 DRTG, -19.3 Net

On/Off

+21.4 Offense, -3.8 Defense, +25.2 Net (Only +1.5 for the full season)

As has been said before, his defense has improved as he's gotten healthier. The rest of the team has really struggled on both ends in the last month though.

Man the Heat can't draw fouls when Lebron's off the court. That's last-in-the-NBA bad.

That's 12th worst in NBA history bad, and 5th worst in the 3-point era bad.

Miami really needs a better backup 2, especially with how much Wade has sat recently. I'm surprised they haven't suited up Douglas yet who we traded to Miami not long ago. I thought he would actually complement them well since he can hit the three and defend his position, 2 things that Miami requires all players to be able to do practically. He's gotta be better than Mason Jr. who surprisingly finds minutes despite being empty of any discernible NBA strength.

I fear that he may be injured again. This would be his 3 straight missed game plus the fact that the last two game he did play he was horrible is not a good sign.

This goes beyond a maintenance program when he is sitting 3 straight games. I really hope he isn't injured again.

Still surprised at how little time Beasley's played in January, especially on the road trip where they desperately needed bench scoring where he got 10+ mins just once in 6 games, and he's actually been giving defensive effort. I dont know what Spo is thinking, might have something to do with keeping his value down for the off-season when hes an RFA and MIA wont be able to match other teams offers

According to ESPN's shot chart, LeBron's 4-5 from mid-range (though one shot's on the block, so I'm guessing that was out of the post).

How has his jumper looked recently?
Now that's the difference between first and last place.

Inverse the 3pt and mid-range shots from what they were a month ago, still an inconsistent stroke

Yeah, pretty much this. He's looked great out to about 18 feet.

How has his defensive effort/intensity looked recently (I feel like I ask this every month or so, but I only watch about a quarter of the Heat games :) so I want to be sure)?

Slacking/gambling a lot. Basically not good. The team's defense as a whole has been awful, and LeBron definitely shares the blame here.

Just in tonight's game alone, LeBron let Green beat him off the dribble a few times because he didn't get in a defensive stance, trying to use his athleticism instead to stop him which led to a goaltend on one drive late in the game. There was also a Boston fastbreak where he refused to contest an open dunk when he easily had position to make a play or at least foul. And he was indirectly the cause of a few open 3's given up, by gambling and causing the defense to be out of position on rotations.
