I rather have Parker. I am almost certain he'll be an All-Star caliber with room for growth at the next level. I'd consider taking Embiid over Wiggins and Randle but for now, Parker is the pick I want above all else if I'm a franchise in desperate need of a building block star.

I don't want to wait 2-3 years for Embiid to possibly develop into our franchise player while Parker comes in for someone else ready to contributing on day 1.

If the Lakers goal is to win immediately after this year, than its a no brainer you take the most ready, most skilled player of the draft with an equally enticing upside. I think whoever takes on Embiid will have to be patient because I don't think he's ready mentally or ready as a player as his peers to come in and help save a franchise. They'll most certainly have to take on the possibility that he might not pan out either.

Do not see him coming out and Lakers will not have enough ping pong balls to get top pick.

I see lakers trading this pick for an older player. They have done it for years and why stop now.

Hope I am wrong.

Embiid already is a star you have to watch this hardworking guy play and has only been
playing 2 years bball. His footwork is very good for any big man .
He looks better than D12 and Hibbert.

He needs a little muscle and then he is going to be an instant impact player while the Wiggins
and Parker need a system and time to develop that suits them.

If they get anything in the top five, there is zero chance this happens.

Another thing with Parker: What if he goes on a mission? I thought I'd read somewhere that was a possibility...

because they were winning/contending then....PJ/mgmt. didn't feel the need to develop talent and rather have proven players, that is not the case now.

I hope we don't even contemplate trading this pick with the delusion of competing in the next two seasons. That hope ended with Kobe's extension.

wouldn't trade the pick unless we are getting something helps us signigifantly. Speaking of the draft. Anyone play this ESPN mock draft? http://espn.go.com/nba/lottery2014/mockdraft

I think the one thing the mock draft does is make it realistic that WE WILL NOT GET a top 5 draft pick. So you can kiss Embiid, Wiggins, and Parker goodbye. I keep playing and it says we will get 9th pick which I think is likely. Who is Noah Vonleh? I keep getting him as the draftee for us. My question is who can realistically get that will make a serious impact for us at the 7th-10th pick?

that game and order is soley based on the CURRENT standings in terms of win/loss, I'm pretty sure we can all agree we'll be within the top 5 teams in loses by the end of the season. In Fact I just got the #3 pick with my 2nd attempt and we pick Wiggins :D :lol:.........but scary part is I tried it almost 20x and Bos with 8.8% chance gets the #1 pick almost 7 or 8x :-?

Looks like the dumb ass Bucks are going after Smart by trying to trade away Sanders :lol:
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
