Top 5 pick > 3 mid-to-late picks

They'd never give that up if we trade Melo.

Supposedly Kobe and Melo are meeting up this weekend to discuss about Melo signing with the Lakers in the offseason. If this is true, Melo you better tell the front-office now especially since you made us give up all those assets in the Denver deal so you could get extra money instead of waiting until the off-season. Now all of a sudden he is willing to take less money so the team obtaining doesn't have to give up assets.

- 2 outstanding ball/handling/passing guards
- spread the floor big-man shooter in Frye
- big.athletic banger in Plumlee
- tough wing defender in the kid from Texas (name?)
- Gerald Green coming on
- other young big (Morris Brother)

- great weather
- city close to LA (for La La)
- less negative pressure

Why wouldn't he want Melo? Melo is actually not a bad guy. There are much worse guys on pretty much every team in the NBA...

Real question is whether Sarver is willing to pay Melo $23m a year.

Makes no sense. What is he going to win in LA?
Joining a team with realy one other great player on the downside of his career coming off a devastating injury----I think Melo has seen this movie already.

Hi guys, I was wondering with Udrih's request to be traded if you would do a multiple teams trade that would look like this on your end:

Incoming: Sessions (5m, last year of contract)
Outgoing: Udrih, Felton, a pick
Now let's kick off with a suggestion the pick would be a 2018 first with some protection that can eventually become two second rounders instead. I know Knicks has 2018 first rounder, 2018 second, 2019 second left to trade as of now.

(For the sake of completion of the trade Udrih would go to Charlotte, Felton to third team and player of the third team matching the numbers would go to Charlotte as well. Wizards getting Felton and sending Veselý to Charlotte fro example. Picks would would land depending on what would Knicks be willing (and able) to give up.)

Are you joking? 1st round pick for Sessions? They wouldn't give up the pick for Lowry but will do it for Sessions? Get out of here with that nonsense

Some would argue Love is better over all, or at least will be over the next 4-5 years. Plus they may be looking for the most bang for their buck. A cheap team would much rather pay Love $18m a year than pay Melo $23m a year. If they can't get Love they have some back-up options in guys like Milsap, Thad Young, and J-Smooth. I don't see them taking the same "Melo or bust" mindset that led to us giving up so much.

I am aware of Sessions itself not commanding a first round pick. It is more of that, giving you a better shot at playoffs and getting rid of Felton and his contract. And the thing with Udrih's trade request. We'll see tonight. Never say never, we don't know the real value of NBA players, I for example could never tell what Bargnani is worth.

Thunders obviously says no. You have them giving up Westbrook and all of their young talents for Rondo and 3 bad contracts.

Chandler and Shumpert for Perkins, Jackson, PJ, first, and a filler seems more likely. Jackson has looked awesome in Westbrooks absence, if the Thunder wanted to move Westbrook for Rondo I would think the celtics would want Westbrook in return instead of another late pick.(celtics are only looking for lottery pick or another all star in return). I don't see a team wanting Felton or JR, and Lamb has looked great lately.

They could have a good pick this year, and will have cap space after Nash and Gasol come off the books, and no Dolan.
