I wonder what it would take to trade for Gallo now that he's out for the year? I know he wouldn't help us right away but he'd be an upgrade at SF next year. He's got a pretty risky injury history but he may be worth the gamble if he's cheap.

Puff on the money

I as well, am comfortable doing absolutely nothing to this roster till the off season. And, even then, there is no desperation to do more than add another rook or two. Let this core continue to improve, MoBros and all. One thing that should be noted... All these guys have the ability to get better, with may be the exception of Frye. And who knows about Bledsoe? We might not be a contender, but in the event a talent like Love wants a new start, this squad will be very attractive to FAs (as previously mentioned somewhere by someone).

and no, I am not just giddy/delusional from last night's whooping. We can be/are handful to deal with.

Don't need for any changes this season. This team simply needs to age together like a fine wine. We have two borderline all-stars in Dragic and Bledsoe. This summers free agents realize what the Suns are ... a young, up and coming team with a great front office and coaching staff. They will flock to the Valley of the Suns like snowbirds. McD will pull a coup this summer grabbing one of the top free agents available with our $20M+ cap space room. Right now I'd be happy to see Minnesota flounder. We don't need four rookies next year. We don't even have room for three honestly.

Back court - Dragic/Bledsoe/Green/Goodwin/Rookies #1/2
Front court - Star FA/Tucker/Frye/Morri/Plumlee/Len/Rookie #3

That's fourteen players right there assuming we don't consider bringing back Ish or Barbosa.

This thread always makes me laugh. The mood of it is always dependant on the last game..

We win, we have a great team and don't change a thing!

We lose, the team is really bad, trade half of it!

What I do know is that if we trade for someone, we need to get players who already do what we do, just better.

This team has to look good to LeBron.

But he is not cheap, he would have to be waived by Denver to even be considered cheap.

At this point, and with his injuries, I would only gamble on him if he signed a vet min.

Just so you know my mood hasn't changed. I hate that the Trade and Free Agent threads were merged. I grow tired of insane trade suggestions and would much prefer to discuss possible free agent acquisitions this summer. I consider the ESPN trade machine as one of the worst computer viruses ever invented !!! I really would hope our mods would consider separating these FA and Trades back into two separate threads.

I would gladly suffer the LeBron denizens. It would mean a certain championship or two for the Suns. I would die a happy man after waiting and watching this team for 40+ years.

The point is, what we have seems to be worth keeping. And even with all of the trade suggestions...has there really been any realistic trades that put us in better positions ? Not this yr, IMO.

McDo holds some good cards, I trust he'll play them wisely. He looks to be a stingy poker player.

The idea of turning away LeBron is something I cannot fathom. I would do anything to get him in a Suns uniform.

I trust him too. It was more a comment on the rollercoaster emotions of sports fans. Me included.

I just wondering what star player the suns have in mind as far as landing. I'm thinking everyone in the state of az hates the idea of melo coming. I know gambo hates melo. Lol. Just trying to think of a player that is a star and in a bad situation where the suns can take advantage of.

Also I do think it is getting to the point where separating the morrii is coming. Marcus is almost non existent. It's time for them to stop being babied. I think the only players the suns won't trade is Bledsoe, dragic, and Len. Everyone else is tradable with the right deal.

I absolutely loathe Melo, but if, and its a massive if, he buys into the team 1st mentality, hustles on D, and plays McDornacek ball, it could very well work. I mean Gerald Green has a green light FFS, and Melo, even with his warts, is A LOT better than Green.

Man, thats a lot of commas.

No reason to gut our team for a in-season trade unless you are getting a proven winner. Love has yet to prove he can take a team to the promise land (playoffs). There are a few free agents we can go after this summer to try to push us into the top tier of teams. That includes

LeBron
Dirk
Bosh
Melo
Deng

There is also a second tier of players where we might be able to pick up two of them and have a starter quality bench.

It's a travesty that Tucker didn't even make this list.

I wouldn't mind the Suns going after Melo during the offseason, but no way I trade for him when he becomes a free agent anyway. He'd be more inclined to go to Phoenix over the offseason, the way Phoenix is currently constructed than stay with the Suns had we traded for him and lose several assets. If that makes sense, lol.

Return to Phoenix Suns
