Wow, so by no means is Incognito a great guy, but looks like the situation with Martin was not very accurate.

A minimum of 1,000 Jabbas can be found 8 Sundays a year in the Lambeau Field bleachers.

Good for him, even more props for doing it when he did. Could have easily waited until after the draft.

Says he told teammates in August and they supported him. That's wonderful. The fact it didn't leak at any point during the season is even better. Was able to have a great season and then choose when he wants it to get out to the media.

And if he falls in the draft for coming out, which sadly could happen, I'd be ecstatic if he fell to the Pack in a later round. We sure as hell would be drafting a position of need.

Good for him, I hope he does great in the NFL.

I thought this was a good quote:
But no one asked. I guess they don't want to ask a 6-3, 260-pound defensive lineman if he was gay or not.

Sounds like a poll of executives think this will cause him to fall in the draft. Wonder if TT would be willing to scoop him up at a good value. I don't really know much about him, where was he originally pegged to go? I assume he's a decent prospect if he was co-SEC defensive player of the year.

If the rumors of TT being in the closet are true, combined with the way Ted just puts a value on guys and goes for them I would imagine we would be a team that wouldn't devalue him based on this info. I'm amazed that the entire team kept it a secret for the season, props to them for respecting his privacy and props to him for being forthcoming with the info. I wonder if this will lead to anyone else coming out. I mean if a college kid can do it that should provide a little more courage to some active players I would think.

I look forward to the day when no one cares about this because the reality is we shouldn't give a damn who they are attracted to or sleeping with, just how they perform on the field.

This is a historic moment. If he lands with a team and makes a roster - and he should - I'm hoping a domino effect will reverberate throughout professional sports and allow other openly gay athletes to feel comfortable coming out.

I wonder if the Vikings will draft him in an effort to weaken Chris Kluwe's lawsuit against them.

Yeah, there's no way that would weaken his lawsuit against Minnesota.

Yeah I know, that's why I said "in an effort." I could see them doing something like that though. I think Kluwe's case is pretty weak in general though.

I don't know. I'm sure they're represented by experienced lawyers, so I don't think they'd make a decision for a legal benefit that doesn't exist.

But if they drafted him because he was gay, that could be done to change public perception. Then again, Wilf was already known as a man who was an ally of the gay community, and that didn't stop certain coaches from fostering a homophobic atmosphere. And I think any move like that would be seen through.

But right now, I do think his case has a huge uphill battle, and that's largely because any cases which allege discrimination are already incredibly difficult to prove and win.

He might not be Packer People. Who knows. That phrase was always ambiguous to me.

From my perspective, I couldn't care less. What he does in his own residence is his own business. All I care about is he doesn't impede on the rights of others, and helps us win more games. If all the players fit those criteria, I'd take a team of gay dudes. We could put new meaning to the name Packers. Liberace was from Wisconsin.

The problem is can he play OLB? If he can't, it doesn't really make sense to pick him up because he sure as hell can't play 3-4 end at 260.

He could very much be a OLB against the run. He's probably a little too slow to really be a great pass rusher from that position however.
