Lance Stephenson

Post#1 » by KLEON » Fri Jan 24, 2014 5:25 pm

I don't want to sound as a hater because I'm surely not but I think this guy is overrated. I think he's immature and turnover proned and I just really think he'll be the main reason why the Pacers won't win a championship. To me he's just an ordinary role player and I just can't understand why people are pushing for this guy to be an All-Star.
I really want to know what you guys think because maybe I'm wrong?

It's because he fills the stat sheet, though not primarily a scorer he's shooting 49% from the field, dishing out almost 5 assists and pulling down 7 rebounds a game. It's very Matrix like. His TOs may be a little high, but for a guy that's not a PG the 2:1 a:to ratio is actually very good.

The next Harden hype is a little much, as he just doesn't have Harden's offensive game, but he's a loads better defender.

I think you should get a pacers fan point of view on him. But it may not work cause their are 5 on realgm. Yes he is overrated but he is putting up stats on a team that has the best record in the league is why he is getting attention. My understanding from what I read is he is the pacers glue guy. He fits what the pacers neeed from him.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

Only a fan of Arizona teams!

He's a good all around player. Jack of all trades.

He's a very good defender and the BEST rebounding guard in the NBA. He's also unselfish and can create for others.

He's scoring at a decent level (though not great) but he is improving in this aspect as well.

Again, the claim was not that Stephenson could carry a team or play on the same level as Harden or score as well. Harden's name was just used as an example of a player whose productivity increased when given more responsibility. The assertion was being made that Stephenson could be even more productive if given more responsibility. That's all.

Good player, not James Harden. No where near James Harden level. No where near meaning Arizona and Egypt.

I like him. Tough, plays to his strengths, very good defender, a lot like Batum. He's gonna get paid. I wouldn't mind somehow swapping Bledsoe for Lance in an S&T. IDK ish about the CBA and if Indy could S&T an UFA tho.

Different players but I like Lance more. Harden is better but he's a pathetic defender.

I was surprised to see Stephenson improve so much creating for others. I see Dallas making a run at him.
