Nets unveil Alternate Jersey

Looks like it pays homage to the Dodgers...

Sources told ESPN.com that the Nets will first wear the blue and grey sleeved jerseys for the game against the Boston Celtics on March 21 and will wear them for four other games, to be called "Brooklyn Blue Nights," before the season is over.

love it... love the tippig of the hat to the dodgers... just wish it was a normal jersey not a tshirt one. if it was a regular jersey id buy one in a second.

The cool concept of the throwback Dodgers style is almost undone by the sleeves... Why are we being forced these sleeved jerseys?

Yeah, not a fan of the sleeves, but I still love it. I think it's sick.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get one.

We're being forced these sleeve jerseys because we will sell far more with sleeves than we would as jerseys. Internationally these will sell like hot cakes.

I'm definitely buying it and once i wear it to training or just causally I know as a fact other people will want to buy it because it's something new and not seen before. Everyone has Manchester Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal tops but walk around in a retro looking Brooklyn top people will eat it up, exactly like the Nets logo fitted and snapbacks because Jay Z wore them on his world tours.

I love it but I hate the sleeves and the numbers should be red.

Yeah, I read it mentioned somewhere else...the number should be red, and "Brooklyn" should actually be written in cursive like in the Dodgers original uniform, which I think would have been REALLY nice actually.

But maybe they still want to keep a little bit of the Nets to it.

Because the NBA is turning into the Futbol league! lol No seriously though.

Tight jerseys w/ sleeves (soccer style)
Gonna be throwing ads on them soon (Soccer style)
The tight jerseys w/ baggt shorts is stupid.
Guaranteed ppl start wearing tighter shorts w/ compressions showing (soccer style -- not as short but tighter than now)
Players already wear the leg sleeves & accessories like shin guards & whatever else (soccer style)
The NBA wants implement an all-star break torny w/ the best teams (soccer style)

I forgot all about the alternatives. I like it even with the sleeve but I remember Yomark hinting that the word "Nets" would be on the new jerseys and since I don't see "Nets" anywhere Yomark can go F himself.

Gonna guess Dodgers owns some kind of rights to that font, which is why Nets can't use it

It's really missing red but overall It's a good looking jersey. The blue is pretty refreshing. I think I'll get one.

i wouldnt mind them so much if the sleeves werent fittied/tight around the arms and of shorter length.
