Most of the people who are anti-MDA now are the same people who were very much against his hiring in the first place. MDA is a decent coach capable of getting the most out of marginal teams. And that's all he is. He's not the kind of coach a team like the Lakers pays top dollar to preventing them from being able to go after a top tier coach who does deserve top dollar should he become available. When there are no great moves to be made you do what needs to be done to get by while maintaining flexibility for that right opportunity. The Lakers did not do this with MDA and that's why many are upset.

We had a chance to trade Dwight, we didn't. Even if we got half ass deals we still could have gotten something for Dwight. I swear to got if we really got offered Blake and Bledsoe for Dwight and anyone not named Kobe I will effin lose it! Instead we sit on our hands and say....I dare you to walk. WTF. This guy didn't want to be here and made it clear. We had a 10% chance that he was coming back. Who plays with those odds? I hope we get some balls and do something or make it clear to our fanbase that we are standing pat this year and will make MAJOR changes in the off-season. DO SOMETHING! We have nothing to lose anymore.

Making irrational changes will not solve anything so... 8-)

What most fans seem to forget is how patient Mitch can be. This is why he was hated on so much before the Pau trade. For years Mitch was a joke...the whole Mitch's magic wand used to be a mean-spirited one, now it's a sort of ironic playful thing. Funny how things change.

Especially when D'Antoni himself has dissed the fans and given a halfhearted apology afterward. People have differing opinions some of us dislike D'Antoni, some of us tolerate him and some of us flat out support him for whatever they feel he has accomplished.

This season and the previous one has been tough for a lot of us and D'Antoni is responsible for some of the blame, excuses aside this is a results driven league and he hasn't been producing besides small stretches even when players have been health. So some people are going to be antsy about the coaching staff, F.O. and the players we have.

Personally, I haven't been ranting and raving against D'Antoni but I find it kind of naive to assume people should just "Get over it" when said coach hasn't produced in the past 6 years without a mountain of excuses and statistical memes.

dude chill out I'm not attacking I just said what needs to be said, everyone freaks out over the coach its already been said that he's not going anywhere so all I'm saying is just deal with it.

peep this I bet this team would still fail to make the post season even if we had PJ here. The INJURIES have hurt this team, not MDA. I don't see any other coach doing a better job than he did this season with all these injuries. Fans need to understand that, the team isn't at full power and even at full power they can't do any damage in the west.

on how hen told the fans to find a better team, yes it was harsh but freaking true nonetheless, Nash, Farmar, Bryant, Henry and Blake all went down. He told them the truth and many fans didn't like it so what big deal. As an adult you hear things you don't like all the time some of the things you can change and some you can't change. This is one of those things that they can't change, we are going to suck this year so get over it.

For the smart fans that can loop past the Purp and gold glasses saw this season for what it really was. We did something different by taking the year off. get over it get over, of become a fan of another team because you can only be on top for so long then you have to rebuild and do it again, its a cycle but most are too stupid to see that.

lastly if you really got my frustrations then you would've known I wasn't attacking anyone at all just saying what needed to be said, but I guess you felt some type of way because you could be one of the fans I'm talking about.

Lets see you do a better job than MDA

Indeed true but then everyone should hate Jim Buss and not MDA. I wanted PJ back, but you can't overlook what dude has done this season either with this roster, he got the best out of player listed as bust picks. So many down this dude but at the same time PJ didn't play rookies, but that's okay right?

Eat Mike Brown's contract too while your at it, just because he was fired doesn't mean he's not getting the rest of his four year 16 million dollar deal either

Maybe its just me but calling people "stupid fans" and the ones that agree with your position "smart fans" comes off as an attack. I don't even think I've ever mentioned replacing D'Antoni with Phil so I'm not sure where that came from.

"Lets see you do a better job than MDA" isn't really a legitimate argument either but I will just leave that one alone.

We receive some relief but we still owe him an undisclosed sum.

I very much agree with what you're saying. It's not MDA's fault the Lakers offered him more than he's worth.

I just don't see anyone else that could get Marshall, Henry or Johnson to play this well. Give the dude his credit and keep it moving. He may not be the best coach but dude is a damn good coach and yes I didn't want him here but dude is here to stay and he's done a good job so far. If you don't agree the look at this years roster and injuries and the fact that last season he came in after two other coaches. All Jimmy's fault

That deal has nothing to do with the deal he got from the Lakers, two different teams two different front offices two different contracts

I call it how I see it, I'm just up front and when I see something stupid I call it just what it is stupid, If I saw you eating your own crap I wouldn't be like this dude is smart, first off I'm going to just think you're either

A) Stupid
B) Really, really special(not in a good way)
C) Or a combo of both

now you can call this attacking.....

What is going on? This thread is getting out of hand. Personal attacks aren't needed. MDA is MDA. I don't fault him for being hired. Jim is Jim. I am not going to state anymore in regards to Jim because frankly people are tired of it is as they should.

I'm pretty sure the door's opened several times since this thread started...
But the same **** is getting regurgitated in like 4 threads right now. So this one dies.
