That's essentially what he is right now. I think he still has some room to grow.

I'd be lying to you if I said I thought he could do this good, but hes the part of the reason why I wish the pistons didn't sign/acquire Jennings, Billups, Siva, and Bynum as well as why I wish we had or own d-league team.

I'm not going to turn this into another bash Dumars thread, but this wasn't the offseason to invest heavily in.

Not to defend Dumars but we aren't exactly a free agent destination so he has to strike when the bigger markets can't, the top guys aren't coming here so he had to make an attempt at creativity.

Assuming we still draft KCP. I would much rather have suffered through one more year of Knight as the starting PG then ever sign Jennings.

as far as the argument of signing someone just to sign someone, lets not keep doing that. The Connecticut connection proved how bad of an idea that was.

So much this, especially as we lost Middleton in the deal too.

I feel that Jennings + Smith is turning into a slightly more affluent man's version of the Gordon + Charlie V signings.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

Marshall needs shooters around him. We dont have any shooters so he would look realy bad. He had some real issues in Phx. From what I have heard he wasnt good enough to make the 15 man roster.

He was traded by PHX a year after selecting him 10th, and then waived a cople weeks later by the Wizards. He was in the D-League when the Lakers swooped him up. He isn't a top guy, and he would have came here if an offer was made...it looked like he was out of the league, he would have gone anywhere.

This.

They chose long lost guys like Ish Smith and PJ Tucker over him.
