yes this is such a Knicks trade. One horrible expiring contract for two awful, long contracts to low iq players.

How about we do these two trades
NY trades: Chandler, Felton
HOU trades: Asik, Lin

NY gets a younger penetrating pg who I wouldn't have said it before but is obviously better than Felton, and a younger C who although not as good as Chandler has proven to be more consistently healthy.

HOU gets championship caliber defensive C to either backup Howard or most likely start next to him, and a cheaper backup pg.
Trade ID #6414403

second traded
NY trades: STAT, and Shump/Hardaway
Bos trades: Wallace, Green

NY gets s young tall SF to start next to Melo or comes of the bench as the primary scorer. ALso a vet F who can play both foward spots and is a good all around player

BOS gets salary relief and a young asset in Shump/Hardaway.
Trade ID #6414420- Shump
Trade ID #6414421- Hardaway

final lineup
1-Lin-Prigioni-Udrih
2-Shump/Hardaway-JR-Murry
3-Green-Anthony-Wallace
4-Anthony-Bargs-Wallace
5-Asik-Prigs-Martin

Solid team at every position and all the contracts end the same yr. Some of the free agents that yr are Durant, Lebron, Love...

We have to find a way to trade Amare, Bargs and Felton!!

Amare, Udrih and two future 1st for Rondo and Wallace

Bargs, Aldrich, Felton and Shump for Lin and Asik

Chandler/Asik/Tyler
Melo/K-Mart/Wallace
Smith/MWP/Stevenson
Lin/THJ/Sh,Brown
Rondo/Prigs/Murry :P

or

Bargnani, Felton, Aldrich and Shumpert for Asik and Lin

Chandler, Udrih, Smith, 2018 first rounder for Rondo, Wallace and Lee

Asik/Amare/Tyler
Melo/K-Mart/Wallace
THJ/MWP/Stevenson
Lin/Murry/Lee
Rondo/Prigs/Delonte :)

or

Chandler, Smith, Felton and future two first rounders for Rondo, Green and Wallace

Amare and Shump for Gasol and Johnson

Sign Bynum or Boozer for the minimum (if available)

Gasol/Bargs/Aldrich
Melo/K-Mart/Tyler
Green/MWP/Wallace
THJ/Johnson/Murry
Rondo/Prigs/Udrih
Strength and Honour!

I like deandre but we would be paying more (against the cap) for our backup c that can't ever play next to Dwight and his contract runs past 2015

And be sart please stop with us trading Asik and Lin for stuff we don't need and contracts that run past 2015 then shump...shump would be on for us but no other piece adds anything of need and taking contracts past 2015 is a no no for us..and I would rather have Lin than shump and especially more than Felton

Knicks should look into either Tyreke Evans or Eric Gordon from New Orleans in exchange for Andrea Bargnani. The Pelicans will clear their log jam in the backcourt and get a replace for Ryan Anderson this year while Bargs expiring contract becomes an asset this summer. The Knicks get a potential deference maker who needs a change of scenery.

you're telling me to be smart and yet you seemed to have had trouble reading the trade.

1. shump isn't going your way.

2. you don't play asik, who, if he actually wanted to play for you, he'd be your backup center. you're paying him 5 million dollars this year to sit on his ass. you lose your back up center get another good one. you lose your point guard (whom the coach doesn't seem to care for too much) and you get another. and deandre jordan nor collisons deal extend pass 2015. so, again, you're wrong. and you'll be paying asik 4 million dollars more next year then jordan would be getting paid.

and what are you talking about stuff you don't need? the rockets would be trading players for players who play the same positions that the players they're trading play. the rockets can always move him as good centers in this league are at a premium. I'm sure morey 2k would love that.

Rockets don't need a PG. Harden is the PG.

Knicks:
IN - Rajon Rondo, Dion Waiters, Earl Clark & Gerald Wallace
OUT - Raymond Felton, JR Smith, Iman Shumpert, Beno Udrih, Andrea Bargnani, Tyson Chandler & 2018 1st round pick
(Knicks obtain Rondo, gains a 2nd scorer in Waiters, plugs Wallace into the 3 while Melo is at the 4.)

Celtics:
IN - Tyreke Evans, Iman Shumpert, Tristan Thompson, Alonzo Gee, Sergey Karasey, Andrea Bargnani, & 2016 1st rd pick via Pelicans (top-10 protected)
OUT - Rajon Rondo, Jeff Green & Gerald Wallace
(Celtics save a ton of money & gains a lot of prospects for the future. Evans is locked into a 4 year deal. Shumpert & Thompson both still have some untapped potential at SG/SF & PF. Bargs expires after next season. Acquires another 1st round pick.)

Cavs:
IN - Raymond Felton, Eric Gordon, Cole Aldrich & Jeff Green
OUT - Dion Waiters, Tristan Thompson, Alonzo Gee, CJ Miles, Earl Clark, Sergey Karasev & Anthony Bennett
(Cavs upgrade their SG position with Eric Gordon to pair with Kyrie Irving. Jeff Green is an upgrade over Thompson at the 4 also. Felton becomes backup PG, letting Jack slide to the backup 2 spot.)

Pelicans:
IN - Tyson Chandler, JR Smith, Anthony Bennett, CJ Miles, Beno Udrih & 2018 1st round pick (NYK)
OUT - Eric Gordon, Tyreke Evans & top 10 protected 2016 1st
(Pelicans turn 2 pieces that doesn't really fit into 5 pieces that really do fit. Still saves a lot of money in the deal too.
Trades a 1st in 2016, but it's protected if the team is really bad still. Also acquires a future 1st.
Tyson Chandler played with Anthony Davis during the Olympics. Should help his development by a lot.)

Like most of the massive 3/4 team deals proposed on here, the other teams would be better off just cutting the Knicks out. They always give out the least valuable pieces and get the best one back. The Knicks lack great young talent, draft picks, current expirings. The unfortunate reality but next year could be a different story.

Can people just stop posting Rondo trades? Might as well create fantasy scenarios for Lebron and Durant.
