Perfect spot for him. Just rebound, set screens and slam home put backs.
He'd be past 50 yrs old now right? He must have been 35 when drafted by the Blazers.

One of the most natural shot-blockers I've seen since Dikembe. His timing is impeccable, hope he can revive some NBA value in Miami.

One of best blocks I've ever seen.

Faried taking a huge dump on Waiters face.
Sick.

Re: Around the NBA II
So was I off base for liking Terrance Jones from Kentucky?
He'd be a nice fit off our bench......plays some D too.

No, you were not off base apparently. Unlike Barnes he has significantly improved too.

Yeah and he can play both sides of the ball...not the greatest defender, but a good shot blocker for a 3-4. Would be a nice backup for Lee with an eventual take over.
I remember a few around here not liking him because of Kentucky and also his supposed attitude. At least I think that's what it was.
I really dispise Houston...not even sure why, and it bugs me that they lucked into Jones.

I didn't like him because I genuinely thought he wasn't talented enough. He had a ton of skills, but he didn't seem good enough at any one of them. He's making me eat crow right now.
Guys I liked in that draft (outside of the obvious ones) were Henson, Marshall, Thomas Robinson and Fab Melo.

Anyone else underwhelmed by Wiggins? Still a lot of potential but... what's the case for picking him over Embiid? Or even Jabari?

Embiid is so raw, but he does change the game with his size and length. Parker underwhelms me too, but he is dang good. Wiggins just seems like a freshman.
Julius Randle is a man amongst boys and I can't believe he's a frosh. He has size and moxy....just love his game. I wonder how old he is...haven't looked it up.

He's 19 I believe... '94 youngin. I like him too, but not above the others. Exum is the x-factor in this draft. Reminds me too much of Wade.

Someone shared this with me this morning. I enjoyed it more than I probably should have. Perhaps I'm immature. Oh well.

Re: Around the NBA II
Using the last ten games to project the rest of the season (which is obviously bad for the Warriors), this is what the final standings will look like in the West.
Code: Select all
1 Oklahoma City 64.6 17.4
2 LA Clippers 59.8 22.2
3 San Antonio 59.6 22.4
4 Portland 58.9 22.4
5 Memphis 54.0 28.0
6 Houston 50.6 31.4
7 Dallas 47.6 34.4
8 Golden State 45.5 36.5
9 Denver 45.4 36.6
10 Phoenix 44.5 36.5
11 Minnesota 40.5 41.5
12 Utah 34.0 48.0
13 Sacramento 30.6 51.4
14 New Orleans 29.7 52.3
15 LA Lakers 23.4 58.6cdubbz wrote:Donte DiVincenzo will outplay Poole this season.

Embiid is so damn raw. He'd the top 5 guy I wouldn't want to take a swing on.

Re: Around the NBA II
Embiid is the easy #1 pick IMO. He's a little raw but his post game is miles ahead of most of the big man prospects over the last 10 or so years despite being new to the game. His grasp of the game and his stats are reminiscent of a young Duncan or Olajuwan and is supposedly a very very coach able player. He can recognize doubles well, pass out of the double, hit cutters from the high post and has very good footwork and countermoves with very good agility.
Wiggins is a bit raw and Kansas's double post offense isn't really conducive to his strengths but he also reminds me a bit of Barnes at UNC with better athleticism and a worse 3 point shot. He's starting to play a lot better though and his defense has been pretty good. If he develops a consistent 3 point shot he'll be closer to Paul George than Barnes though as Wiggins has the length and athleticism to be a lockdown guys like George
