ditto x3. Johnson is way undervalued. I was a big advocate of trading a second for him before Sac did just that last year.

The guy has proven in Toronto that he can play valuable minutes in the right situation. I think Sac was just a poor fit for him.

^Yes, with CP3 the new Playaer Union president,
The rest of the executive committee includes newcomers Steve Blake ( Los Angeles Lakers) and Anthony Tolliver (Charlotte Bobcats). Mason, Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala (Golden State Warriors), Matt Bonner (San Antonio Spurs), James Jones (Miami Heat) and Willie Green (Los Angeles Clippers).

I can agree with that. I just don't see either player as much more then a career journeyman.

For three minutes or 30, Charlotte Bobcats forward Anthony Tolliver adapts

Anthony Tolliver played three minutes in the Charlotte Bobcats’ opener against the Houston Rockets, then zero the next game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Then he played 27 versus the New Orleans Pelicans.

He played three minutes Nov. 11 against the Atlanta Hawks, then 26 minutes two nights later against the Boston Celtics. He never played in back-to-back games against Milwaukee and Miami, then played 26 against the Dallas Mavericks.

This yes-no-yes-no pattern tends to throw off most NBA players. It’s what Tolliver has grown accustomed to over four-plus pro seasons. It’s become his NBA “skill,” and that’s part of why the Bobcats signed him as a free agent over the off-season.

For the 6-8 Tolliver, who plays both small and power forward, there is no pattern. He’s been smart and adaptive enough to accept that.

“Coach told me he wanted someone who could play multiple positions, and play at the drop of a dime. It’s a skill. Something I’ve tried to develop,” Tolliver described. “It’s an attitude thing, too. If you prepare to play a lot, and then you don’t, it messes with your mind.

“So for me, I just have to be adaptive. I prepare as if I’ll play a lot, but if I don’t, then I’ll help along the bench, giving encouragement.”

Point guard Kemba Walker singled out Tolliver for praise for how well he gave help defensively against the Warriors, while still getting out to his man. He’s more a power forward who can fill in as a small forward than a small forward. But the key word is “adaptive.”

A underrated signing that might not get applauded on the board, but Anthony Tolliver was a more than solid acquisition to have as a 13th man at the end of the bench

Agreed, Cho might not be a flashy GM but he's got substance to his style.

Tolliver doesn't do much but he contributes in his own way and it never hurts to have a pro's, pro buried on the bench for times of need.

I actually never thought about this aspect of his game... the "adaptat to fluctuate playing time" skill.

I don't think I would be able to adapt as he does. I like his personality, it's important to have those kind of guy on the roster. If he would start to complain about his playing time, other players in the same situation (Adrien?) Would do the same and create instability in the team.

CDR ‏@g55_CDR 10m

There needs to be an active campaign to get my teammate @ATolliver44 in the 3 point contest this year. He deserves it. @BobcatsPR @Bobcats

good luck with that campaign CDR.

An Anthony Tolliver type journeyman? Playing for a minimum contract? That contract being a 1-year deal? For the Bobcats? Yeah, good luck with that campaign CDR.

that being said, this might be the best one million dollars we've ever spent. There's a reason why Tolliver has stuck around the league and other guys don't. He completely understands his limitations, does plenty of the only thing he's great at (shoot threes) and tries hard. Just like with McBob you can also see that the guy understands defense yet his physical limitations hold him back and can make him look bad on that end of the court.

Anthony Tolliver is shooting 45% from beyond the arc, making him 6th overall in the league in which he's made more 3-point attempts than two of the players that are ahead of him in 3P%. I'm not saying that Tolliver should be a lock for the 3-point competition, but he should be in consideration, and a 'active campaign' wouldn't hurt. However, as a fan of the NBA, I would rather see bigger names in the 3-point contest with renowned reputations for doing such, and Tolliver just doesn't fit that bill

When you look at the names who have participated in the previous years, Tolliver looks like a major stretch. If the guy participating is not a starter, he at least has had national TV exposure during that particular season.

The Matt Bonner campaign seemed a bit unlikely. And despite how unappealing the Spurs might be to the average fan, they still are the damn San Antonio Spurs.

But that being said, I would love to see him participate. Anything that would get us some positive publicity.

tolliver might do well in the contest since he has a very quick release.

can we at least get a pargo vs tolliver vs gordon 3pt contest from practice?

personally i'd like to see the following in the contest (assuming tolliver doesnt get in)

curry, george, korver, lillard, thompson and matthews

however, they wont put two players from the same team in the contest, let alone two pairs, and one spot will be wasted by kyrie.

Personally, I think Gordon is the best shooter of the three, but sadly I don't even think he has enough competitive juice in him these days to even attempt to win, so I'll side with Pargo

My buddy Jack put together bicycles for Tolliver and his wife today. Jack: "He is really tall." Said he didn't have much interaction with him otherwise though.
