I had to put this in Excel and color the cell lol

Order house from left - right
1. Yellow house = Norwegian (smokes Dunhill, drinks water, pets: cats)
2. Blue house = Dane (smokes Blends, drinks tea, pets: horses)
3. Red house = Brit (smokes Pall Mall, drinks milk, pets: birds)
4. Green house = German (smokes Prince, drinks coffee, pets: ???)
5. White house = Swede (smokes Blue Master, drinks beer, pets: dogs)

The German has the fish!!! :) :)

P.S. green font about the ban thing, I hope that some day the answer comes from some chosen poster...and they receive the excalibur for it.

Still think I am right. He got kicked off the 10th block and paid his last 10 cents to go 13 blocks. They refers to people on the 10th block not the street car.

i think there is no correct answer

Or this one http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID ... 7587983454

Okay. "A man had a dollar and he went into a bar. In the bar he bought himself a drum for fifty cents and two drum sticks to play the drum with for ten cents each. Then he bought himself two beers. In those days, beers were ten cents each. After the man drank his beers, he took his drum and his drum sticks and his ten cents change and went to the corner to wait for the bus. When the bus came, the man got on the bus, put his ten cents in the fare meter (in those days, bus fare was ten cents), went half way back into the bus, carrying his drum and his drum sticks with him, and sat down in an empty seat. The bus driver drove two blocks, then stopped and threw the man off the bus. Question: Why did the bus driver throw the man off the bus?"

Or this one.. http://benfolds.org/forum/44301

this riddle has plagued my friend's family for sixty years. It is virtually unsolvable. the only one who knows the answer is my friend's grandfather. He vows to take it to the grave, so we, teams folds, must take it upon ourselves to relinquish this family of their spell. Here's the riddle:
"A man has a dollar, he buys a drum for ninety cents, and two drumsticks for a nickel. With the remaining nickel, he buys a ticket for the bus when the fare used to cost a nickel. He rides the bus for 1 block and is kicked off the bus. Why?"

Ok I've been thinking about this logically

well he had 1.00
bought a drum for 0.80
leaving him with 0.20
he than bought 2 drum sticks costing 0.10 together
leaving him with 0.10
he than pays a dime to go 13 blocks
but they kick him out after 10

now with simple math we can determine this one block = 0.01
0.01*10=0.10 witch is the money he has
the cost would be 0.13
meaning he was 0.3 of reaching his goal of 13 blocks stopping at 0.10

However I saw this has been brought up before, but then I thought why use "dime" when you said .10 for the drumsticks and then I thought what if the streetcar driver........... stopped on a dime? 8-)
Meaning he stopped at the 10th stop

tl;dr It's cause the driver stops on a dime

I'm just throwing out answers at this point.

But,

Pretty sure drumming is measured in blocks, and he was only on the 10th block of whatever he was playing when he reached his destination.
