i haven't heard back from the OP yet which is good as something came up and I wouldn't be able to use the tickets. so if any other posters are interested, send the OP an email and see if they're still available.

I was there too. Pretty boring on the whole, although Gibbons is of course awesome.

Well well well that was fun...

Shout out to Kaizen via Pdawg81 for the free tickets. I got there about 15-20 mins
late and had to go solo with everything being last minute so if anyone has a better recap
please add on.

- Gibby talked about Happ and how hes made a change to his mechanics. They mentioned
him a few times and seem to be high on him internally.

- Talked about the Grass said it's coming in 2018

- Talked about expanded Instant Replay and how its good for the game

- Someone asked about DH and brought up Michael Young as a candidate they said they
think he's gonna retire or sign with the Dodgers. Said they're looking at a few guys but are
willing to give Moises Sierra a shot.

- Someone asked about precautions made by the team and trainers about injuries. Gibby said
it's part of the game. Said Lawrie and Reyes injuries were just fluky baseball plays that happen.

- Talked about the team getting off to a rough start last year. Gibby said the team dug itself
a big hole that it couldn't get out of. Said the team couldn't handle the big expectations they
had and buckled under the pressure.

- Someone asked about the horrible defense last year. Gibbons tried to spin it a bit but said its
one of the main things they're gonna be working on in Spring training.

- Fan asked AA about getting another starting pitcher he named all the FA's out there. He said
a few of them could help us. Said he is talking to a few teams about a trade and they will see
if they go anywhere. Named the starters we already have and that he's comfortable rolling with them.

- Someone asked Beeston if Halladay will be honored in the level of excellence. Beeston said
it's a forgone conclusion that they will but he's not sure if it will happen this year or not.

- AA was asked about the 5 year policy of signing free agents. He said it hasn't prevented them
from signing Free Agents in the past and he's not sure if it's worked out for other teams. Said they
aren't opposed to breaking it for the right player under the right circumstance but it's a
policy they do have.

- AA said they are talking to a few teams to add another bat

Now the good stuff....

The all you can eat and drink part 8-)

Food they had

- Pizza (Pizza Nova)
- Nachos
- Chicken Legs
- Sausages
- Hot Dogs
- Fish Tacos
- Meatball sandwich sliders
- Pastrami sandwich sliders
- Popcorn
- Ice Cream
- Cookies

Drinks

- Beer (Budweiser)
- Wine (Red/White)
- Pop (Coke)

I saw AA, Beeston and Gibby mingling and talking to fans. I thought about going up and talking
to them but I couldn't think of anything nice to ask them that wouldn't be douchey :)
I'm one of the more outspoken posters on here about them so I thought it was best if I let it go.

Man I was stuffed and after about 8-10 Beers I finally saw Buck Martinez talking to a group of
guys. I decided to join in and asked Buck what he liked better doing Play by Play or color commentary?
He thought about it for a bit and said play by play and said it was a lot harder then you think
switching over. I asked him about when he was in Baltimore he got a little emotional. Said it was
so hard. Said when the O's came to Toronto it killed him and he refused to walk on the field.
He also was talking about Jack Morris said he had to go back because of his 8 year old and some
family situation.

Buck Martinez is a good man he bleeds blue guys...

I was so bloated after I thought I needed a stretcher to leave :D

I read some where that they screened the questions? If so, that's horrid.

Nice recap. Thanks for this. After seeing you were going, I was expecting a viral video of either you and Randall fighting over Gibby or one of you ripping Gibby a la the Alex Rios video.

Thanks for the recap Waylon. One positive thing about 2014 is Pizza Nova will be replacing Pizza Pizza at the Rogers Centre (LOL). Pizza Nova is a lot better in my opinion. Others may disagree. Anyways- i also like the idea of getting Burnett on an one year deal instead of tying up 14 M dollars to Santana or Ubaldo on a 4 year deal. I have question marks about both guys.
