I don't want it getting lost in this thread.

can I make a suggestion?

maybe people should PM you their strategies. this way I can't go into that thread, see my opponent's strategy and just counter it. then post the strategies in the series thread in spoilers (to save space on the page).

just a suggestion.

Well its not match up strategy. That write up is just your drafting process. Why you drafted the players you did and what was your thought process. Your matchup strategy goes in your matchup thread where your opponent and the judges can see it.

And you should be able to able to see your opponent's strategy to try your hand at countering it. It's not just one and done comments, there's gotta be a discussion.

Few of those threads got locked, but I'm guessing they'll be reopened when the other series finish.

Could we get people to post in here once GM arguments are up for a given thread?

I second Doctor MJ's request. In all honesty, it's pretty distracting having a bunch of people weigh in on the matchups in the actual matchup threads. As a judge, I just want to see the two competitors duke it out. Their strategies should be their own, not somebody else's.

A suggestion: Let the two competitors have their initial writeups. Then each competitor gets one rebuttal (with a request to keep the rebuttals concise). So each competitor gets two posts overall. Then the judges vote on it.

Alright, lets move bystander discussion here. But I'm not sure if two posts per GM is enough. But I agree and I realize now its outside comments on the match up threads can be distracting.

Since we all love top 10 or top 16 lists...I do favor bigs, and this list looks nothing like my all-time version. I do wish I could've had the top 5 guys on this list just to do a draft and see what I could build around them.

1. Shaq
2. Hakeem
3. Jordan
4. Magic
5. Lebron
6. Duncan
7. Bird
8. KAJ
9. Dirk
10. Kobe
11. DWade
12. Barkley
13. KG
14. DRob
15. Durantula
16. Ewing

Did anyone consider drafting Vinnie Johnson?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I did. In hindsight, I might have taken him instead of Afflalo. However, I filled my 6th man role with Jason Terry pretty well.

Having the last pick for three rounds felt a bit unfair. I wish it was just a regular snake ABABABABAB draft style.

Our match up is live now.

I don't know whether to be excited because the best team got eliminated in round 1 or afraid because I disagree with the judging?

I don't know what your talking about my team didn't get eliminated

In all honesty having different opinions is what makes it interesting. It's been very enjoyable reading judges and GM breakdowns.

Well, considering I'm playing the winner of O_6 and batmana, I'm not sure who to argue for :P
